I have my reasoning, don't worry.
The 111 is a tight community of writers or ******** furry-wannabes alike. They've got some good people and they've got some cunts but eventually everyone gets along at some time or another. They like the rules; they'll go out into that wide old WF and pick out threads that didn't follow them and correct them.
They'll say stuff like this:
DON'T ******** MAKE STUPID ******** POSTS IN THE WRONG FORUM!
and:
Read the Goddamn stickies. :Stare:
Yes, the stare emoticon. It's popular.
stare ...
These will be told to n00bs and newbies both.
Let's play a game for a moment, ok? The situation is that a newbie has recently found the writer's forum, has a passion for writing, but has never attended a class or anything on it. They read or skim the rules, preferrably the first, and then make a mistake: they post their story in the main WF.
They don't realize their wrong, of course. There are a lot of rules and you can take in each and every one of them. Not to mention that it is easy to miss the subforums box or to click the wrong one unknowingly.
Anyways. They've read the rules but put it in the wrong place on accident. Let's see here... Ooh, a regular of the WF! How nice of them to stop by--
"Did you even read the stickies? Stories have their own subforum, you know. The Original Stories/Prose subforum? You must either be blind or retarded. stare "
Or something along those lines.
Let's think here. The newbie has no idea what's going on, and has never heard of the Original Stories/Prose subforum- nor do they know what a subforum is. But what they DO know is that someone just called them stupid.
So they reply. "What? Did you just call me retarded? I'm new, ok?! If you're going to be rude take it somewhere else, or you're the retard. stare " Not necessarily in this grammar, of course; they might be younger and not have a good grasp on that yet.
You can see where this is headed. A flamewar. Oh, Lord. Fun stuff. But let's back up from the scene where it's just a newbie flaming an olbie.

That's right. Newbie. Read the rules, missed a single thing. Didn't see the subforums. And who actually flamed? The regular.
Regulars are almost all spawned by the 111. Sorry, Eleventyone, but my point is that you're all stereotypically crude, rude, and just as trolling as the n00bs.

When a thread is in the wrong place, only one person may inform them of this fact, and in a polite and friendly manner. They do not need to be punished or lectured (mods can take care of that wink ). Plus, repeatedly posting just to say SUB-FO-RUM can be considered spam and might get YOU a warning.
The second step is much more important than chastising the lost poster! Use the report buttons to have it moved.
If everyone helps out a little bit, our forum can stay friendly and clean!

So once a person reports the thread and tells the author, YOU DON'T HAVE TO SAY IT AGAIN. I'm sure they heard it the first time.
Sorry this is so long, but I'm not quite done yet. THE OP/L PISSES ME OFF TOO. Why? Because people are being flamed for trying something new, or not making the standard. They're getting yelled at for being bad at poetry.

This is the touchiest issue in the OP/L for very good reasons. Like all art, poetry is a very personal experience. Sometimes, it's hard to hear that people don't like the piece into which you put a lot of effort. However, some posts do cross the line from negative review into flaming.
I think we can all agree that this is certainly not a constructive post.
Now let's really cross the line. mrgreen

The key thing is, nowhere does this talk about the poem. These comments are most definitely degrading, and they are all targeting the writer, not the work. This most definitely is classified as a flame.
