After trying out gaiaonline for several days, I find it somewhat addicting. On a purely technical aspect sort of way.
I do programming on both MSWindows and GNU/Linux, some web programming/development what not, yet gaia strikes me as both relaxing, enjoyable, fun, and most of all, technically professional in content delivery.
I understand that I have yet to try out _other_ websites, still, I keep coming back for more. The simplistic approach of deliverying freedom to any gaia user, be it on freedom to register, freedom to create an avatar, freedom to dress up your avatar, etc. etc... makes for fun experience.
There's also the social aspect of being on gaiaonline. It's the people that supports gaia which embodies the unique spirit that pervades this virtual online universe.
Yep, you heard me, to me, gaia is not merely a community, but a rather a universe all its own. A virtual universe fit for some form of escapism. What you can barely do in real life, you can try _doing_ inside gaiaonline. And this is becoming more of a norm, for the hardcore gaia fans, which may or may not be correct depending on ones own viewpoint.
Still, gaiaonline offered me a new form of experience that can not be matched even by the most powerful streaming video conference... that my dear reader is for me to KNOW and for you to FIND OUT.
That's all for now!
