So, for a summer reading project, I have to read two books from a list of four books and do a small-to-medium sized report on them. I chose Flowers for Algernon and Icy Sparks. Flowers for Algernon is about a retarded man who, by using science, becomes a genius. It has a lot of sad parts in it, so far, but I have about 40-50 pages to go. I decided on this book because I once read the short story in class, but I wanted to compare it to the actual book. Icy Sparks, from what I read is about a girl in the 1950's has the tourettes syndrome. I chose this one because I myself have tourettes, so it would be interesting to read a book about a girl with a (presumably worse) case of tourettes. And being in the 50's may be worse, as technology wasn't as advanced and tourettes may have not been as understood then as today.
Also, I finished the first six books of Hikaru no Go. I can't wait for the seventh book to be available at the library. I have the 34th hold on about 22 books that will be in. I also made a new image for the manga. (In my signature.)
Meanwhile, I have this huge headache. I did go camping the other day for my sister's Girl Scout Day Camp, so the pollen may be the problem. I decided to take some Excedrin and allergy medicine. I just turned out the lights, so it should die down.
Speaking of tourettes in the first paragraph, I haven't noticed them as much. I guess with the lack of stress that comes with no school, the lack of tourettes would be expected. Though, I will try to not procrastinate on my project so I won't start school with a whole amount of stress; Just the type of stress that anyone switching to High School would experience.
Good thing I have my Google tool bar. I just went back and most of the page was red with errors.
I almost forgot. I recently received some artwork.
I guess I'm off to bump my friend's quest thread and make some more images.
