Long ago in the land of Deltora, a dark and evil force threatened the land. A balcksmith named Adin created the magical belt of Deltora to drive the Enemy from the land.
But as time past, Deltora broke apart as did the belt. Adin’s descendant, Lief, regained the belt and the gems. Lief defeated the Shadow Lord as Adin had. However the belt can only be used to prevent the Shadow Lord from entering Deltora, and not destroy him. Thus Lief journeyed to the Shadowland and collected the Pipe to defeat him.
The Pipe was played and darkness was vanquished. The Shadow Lord was the only survivor, but he was weakened by the Pipe and slept for the next 800 years within a cave.
The people of Deltora were afraid he would return again. They alleged a warrant for him with a great price placed on his body.
As time passed by, Deltora began to fall apart. The heir to the throne was missing and a war broke out for power. Citizens began to starve and many problems occurred…
