Today I'd like to talk a bit more about the general idea of TSC, hopefully we can structure it into something workable!

So we have our seemingly not-special MC, Erin. The special skill I ended up giving her was not just being able to see (not communicate) with the various supernatural creatures floating around town, but also that she can see the portals that they come out of. These portals appear in "random" places at "random" times, but given Yuki's parents' research, we know that they appear in the same place at a given interval.

Now, this interval is more unpredictable. Erin knows one of them appears in front of her house every morning, that that is considered a short time interval. It could also be centuries before a single portal resurfaces after vanishing.

How does this tie into the plot? Well, Aspen's family/grandmother predicted that in 100 years time since the town was formed, a great evil will return to this land - this is likely alluding to a portal with a dangerous creature re-opening in the town! (This is the creature that the Chosen One is destined to battle. Yes, battle, not slay. A fight was predicted, but the one who emerges victorious is unknown.)

-Annie still can only see and talk to the dead (ghosts, wow!), therefore she despises the cemetery and cannot fathom why Jace spends so much time there.
-Nik cannot see anything; when he was being trained to fight the supernatural, he kinda relied on his sister's gift of seeing the creatures
-Jace can't see anything lmao. Useless.
-Yuki naturally cannot see anything, but her parents have handcrafted these special glasses that have been blessed/cursed (however you wanna view it) with some magical shizz that allows her to see the supernatural
-Minhyuk can see some of the creatures. No portals. Only animal-based creatures, and he can talk to them (which is something Erin can't do).
