Lights out...WTF! >_<
I was so happy. I woke up early thinking I would get crap done. I had a day off and would finally get to play a video game I had planned to play (for a while now). Low and behold [at 9:02 AM], twenty minutes into game play (after completing an important area of the game) all the power goes out.
So, of course I start to question if the bill was paid. (We are never late paying them, but I had to be sure.) Yes, it was. I call the company and after answering five hundred questions, I finally get to speak to a real person. surprised I inform the person of the situation and they assure me that they are working on it and it will be fixed in two hours. I get off the phone thinking that's fairly reasonable.
Hours pass and it's now 11 AM...still no electricity. WTF?!? I'm freaking hot [I was one step from stripping naked] and sweating...and I didn't get to make breakfast. I'm freaking hungry and there are no places of business open on the Fourth of July. A housemate leaves the house and starts walking the neighborhood to talk to ask others if they are experiencing the same. It turned out it was just on one side of the street. Lucky us! Neighbors call the company only to be told they are working on it and it will be fixed by 1PM. (Yeah, right. stare )
Long story short. We rinse and repeat. This went on until more phone calls later when they informed us it would be fixed by 5 PM. Yeah, apparently people don't own refrigerators and freezers with food anymore. mad The electricity came back at 5:05 PM. Oh, yeah. Now, we can definitely have a good Fourth of July. xd They might as well have said, "Happy ********' Fourth of July!!!" to me over the phone. My holiday was spent calling the damn electric company repeatedly asking them what's up, why do I have no power? Seriously. I will never think of that holiday the same again.
I know some who know me are thinking..OMG she cursed. I know. I'm still rather bitter about it all.
