My letter - Your letter - Our letter
Entry number - 3 / Poems

Catastrophic consequences

"-It would be fun to go to Moon",
They said as they drank booze.
Hysterically laughing I agreed
To lead myself to "not to be".

They built me a spaceship
And cramped it with junk.
A thought of being useful,
While going East to reach the North pole.

I was put in armor in mind
To be safe from the not kind.
Such a fun thing to do,
Wandering places so new.

I was going to be the first
To launch to the Moon.
So, they prayed for my luck,
Bon voyage'd me with tears.

They should've left the ship empty
And made me a dress.
Might have made me happy,
Instead of taking my breath.

Should've built me a bar,
Instead of packing me food.
Made on a God knows whose
Grandma's kitchen stool.

They should've sang me loudly
And danced as I was
To take off massively,
Laughing for me tragically.

They didn't know how
I felt flying through
The orbit alone, dreaming,
Of a brand new world, screaming.

"-Bring souvenirs!" - they shouted back,
Hiding beneath an Einstein's mask.
Doing nothing but thinking
Less than they should be.

So be it, I thought while eating
Plastic shitty food while playing
Golf on the surface of the Moon,
I wave my goodbye, cry with a smile.

Listening to blues in the dark sky...
