The day comes as The Old Man is buried in a small yard surrounded by willow trees above a small river where he had come to live in his later years, a small stone with a small chiseled date the day he passed to see his sister.

After having traveled so far from home.......

Or the home where he was born as it was, as it no longer was home as he had no one to attach him to that place anymore, no Friends, no Family (Or none who cared anymore than association of uncle or cousin to him)

The past was a long tunnel at this time, as it was the year 2076 and he was 92, as he was just 4 years short of his 100rd Birthday, and the world had changed...a lot

Anyone who knew him was long gone, either passed to The After-Life or so aged they had long forgotten him in their past.

"I tell his tale, as he told me and as I wrote it to keep a remembrance of what all had come and gone in those years passing from his Life in Kentucky, to this new life on the border of Canada"

As even in this time the climate had changed and things here became more temperate and many cold and cool places became warmer, allowing more spreading or flora and fauna to places they normally would not be.

And, in his time alive on The Earth he had said, "I wish to at least go to Canada, it is somewhere I can make it in Life and not have to sail there, or have to climb giant mountains to rest in such a beautiful place."
