3 months later, an influential CEO, Megumi Hakate was found dead in her home on the exact same day that Akito's body was found. Like Akito before, there was no sign of visible injuries, cause of death or signs of a struggle. However near her body was another card of a white reaper, "You have forfeited your life, all will be revealed." Just like before, as soon as the card was in the authorities' hands a video played, showing Megumi stealing money from her company. The message was clear, Erebus was back. The people panicked and the authorities tried to cover it up. It worked once more, however within 3 months, a high school jock named Timothy Drake was found dead on the school field with another card, saying the same thing on the same day. Like the previous two, a card was found and a video played, showing him bullying a student until they committed suicide. Erebus was once more behind it.
The authorities couldn't cover it this time, no matter how much they tried. The people became fearful and word got out that a serial killer was on the loose, leaving behind no evidence. Word spread and Kyomoto was losing tourists and their economy took a major hit. People were terrified and many didn't want to visit the city. Kyomoto became known as a cursed city. Nobody wanted to stay there. More people were leaving than staying and they couldn't bring anyone in. They weren't sure how to save their dwindling economy. However like clockwise, every three months on the exact same day someone was found dead with a calling card. Authorities were slumped with no evidence helping them in solving the case.
Three years have passed and more mysterious deaths have rocked the city. A group of high school students at Takeda High decided to form an Investigation Club to find the truth. If the authorities couldn't find this Erebus group and stop the mysterious deaths, than they would do it. They would be the ones to solve the cold cases and bring their cursed city to life once more. Through their investigation, they learned that a pentagram was underneath the city. At each of the focal points was the location where a mysterious death occurred. When they arrived at the central point, they found what looked to be old ruins in the middle of the city, in a heavily forested area. When they entered them, a strange new power unlocked and they found themselves in a strange new dimension that was beyond their apprehension with unknown power surging within the world.
Just as they arrived, they vanished, returning back to the real world. It left them more confused than anything. However they felt different, but returned to their task of apprehending Erebus and bringing those who lost their lives to justice. While trying to unloc the secrets of this new world. However their task won't be easy, people soon begin missing as well as ending up dead. They have their plates full. However with the arrival of a new student, everything they know will be brought into question. Bonds will be tested and these students need to unlock their true potential to save everyone. When the stakes rise, who will be the victor? Can Erebus be stopped, before they accomplish their true goal? Will these members perish and have their own dark secrets revealed? Time waits for no one. All that matters is victory.
