Complaints...
As many of you have noticed (how can you not?) the layout for gaia has changed again. However, this time, there seems to be a lot more negativity going on. I'm going to counter all of this.
First of all, they have already announced that they're going to continue to fix things up as time goes on. That's why there's the suggestion thread. If you don't like something, post it there in a polite fashion. Don't just outright yell "I hate it!" They've worked hard and I'm rather certain that although there's bound to be people who like it and people who don't, they don't need more of this complaining on their hands. And what is the chance that they're actually going to change it? If there's not too many glitches or technical problems, I think that there's no reason to change it. Complaining's not really ever gotten to them before. If you don't like it, it's not much to them if you decide to leave, is it? The community's always growing, after all.
Number two: stop the petitions. I understand that you don't like it, but stop and think why. Is it because of things that they haven't gotten around to changing yet? Wait it out. Is it the colors? Think of it this way. People said that they hated the layout last time it changed. Gradually, they got used to it. People probably wouldn't even recognize the other layout if it was put back on again, much less remember to navigate it.
Also, everyone knows that there's more and more new people coming in every day. Everyone's always complaining about 'nOOBs' and how they beg too much. Well, there's a huge chance that it might be because they don't know how this site works. With this new layout, not only is there a tour, but they also get free items so that they don't have to beg about them. I think that's the greatest plus.
In addition, what would such a large website be without changes? Just give it time, and I'm certain you'll get over it soon.
If you want to debate about it, go ahead. Just no unreasonable arguments, please.
