Wolf Pup
Oh my, oh my!
Said the birds and the bees.
But there were no bees in the sky,
Nor birds in the trees.
This thought brought to my eye a single tear.
Some bucks and does,
Pricked their ears,
Twitched their nose.
What had I dont wrong?
Why wont they play with me?
All had become silent, and I longed to burst out in song!
I can't be alone, that I can see.
The forest is always teeming with life.
So where is everyone now?
Were they all scared away by the scary 2-leg with the knife?
"Hey, don't have a cow."
I jump and spin around to see my friend.
"Where were you! What a cruel trick to play!"
I was so scared I thought my life would end!
"Relax young pup, it's April Fools Day!"
