I intended to get an entry in sometime in May, but it never worked. So anyway, i've decided, after hearing Eric Scull of Mugglecast spiel endlessly on end and the guys at speech and debate with their awesome ability to ramble o n endlessly without pause, to start a bit of spieling myself. Every journal entry I'll do my daily stuff and then I'll stick in a spiel at the end.
ANyway, I, right out, got first place in the bobcatathon. I was like third in the school. But their prizes turned out to be gift certificates to our student store. Xx. I got two day's worth of skittles from that. Psh. Cheapos. Considering that I alone raised about 60 dollars. I am now officially obsessed with Advent CHildren. I've watched it on the computer about 500000 times. Oh yeah. We have a Civil war project that's pretty big and I'm doing music to it. It's gonna be awesome cause I'm gonna tack on a few Irish jigs if I can find the music to it. If not I'll just do a bit of Battle Hymn and stuff like that.

This is obviously another topic that Harry Potter is becoming the scapegoat for along with topics of kids becoming occultists, violent, and abortions in China (kidding on that one). In fact I really doubt that the girls who killed the taxi driver or whatever it was actually read Harry Potter. Seriously!
The article starts out saying that girls previously had learned that they're not supposed to be violent but now they don't know. Well, what the bloody hell is wrong with that? Girls will act however the ******** they want to act! And this "increase in normal agression", yeah well you know what James Garbarino? There's an increase in normal agression because, until 80 years ago, your bloody sex would not allow any agression. It was only until the civil rights movement that we actually get to act on our own accord. There should be no bloody difference in how girls and boys act. Girls can act aggressive if they want to.
It then goes onto two examples of girls murderign and beating people to death and saying how Harry Potter is an influence because Hermione punched a rotten peice of turd in what could be called his face. How does one punch relate to someone beating a man to death?! I mean, in their lifetime, almost everybody comes close to, or actually does hit someone physically. Instead of looking at how rotten Hermione was for hitting poor innocent little Malfoy in the face, why don't you look at how Malfoy was acting? What do you want Hermione to do after someone calls her a very insulting name over and over and doesn't stop? Go into a corner and cry? Go tell a teacher? Nothing is going to happen. Some things don't change, especially in bullies until you act on it. I've seen plenty of articles on bullying which tell you to act on it if a bully is picking on you. She can't just step aside and let Malfoy and his thugs do this to her. She must stand up for herself.
This is also about time that girls break the barrier of the sterotype that "guys fight and be rougish, girls play with dolls and break into peer pressure". Seriously, that's not how it is today. And this concludes my spiel of the day.
