I was looking through all my junk when I came across a poem I wrote in school. Its no ordinary poem.
*Flash back: JHS 3 yrs ago, English 11, really early in the morning*
Teacher: Okay.. you are gonna get in groups and write a poem in Emily Dickinson's style. You will need to include three- four line, stanzas, odd punctuation.. random capital letters.. and a pattern of syllables for each line alternating as 8-6-8-6. If you do it correctly you can sing your poem to the tune of Gilligan's Island's Theme song.
My group: What in the world..?
Me: Let me take a whack at it.
My group: Okay!
Me: *finishes the poem in under 20 minutes and gets the group and A grade*
*end flashback*
Well I just found that poem. XD Its soo cool.. Sing it to Gilligan's Island! It really works!
~A poem in the Style of Emily Dickinson, By: Me.. RojaZorra
I remember -- when he left me I know I cried that Night The moon was Hidden in the sky The Stars were out of Sight
The birds weren't singing -- That morning The flowers weren't in Bloom He went away forever -- Now I know I'll see Him soon
The leaves fall -- from the Maple trees The snow begins to fall The coldest winter I have seen I hear the Angels call.
*Hums Gilligan's Island theme song*
