Garrus Vakarian is a turian, formerly part of C-Sec's Investigation Division. Like most turians, Garrus had his military training at fifteen, but later followed in his father's footsteps to become a C-Sec officer. He was responsible for the investigation of Saren Arterius, the Council's top Spectre, after the Alliance claimed Saren had gone rogue. Although Garrus was told that the investigation was over, he decided to defy the Executor's order and pursue another lead on his own. Eventually, Garrus joined Commander Shepard's team to help defeat Saren and the geth.
Full bio.
Note: I adjusted the stream of events in the series to make it more Garrus centered rather than Shepard, I've also make it more modern. However if you wish to RP with Human!Garrus as a character from Mass Effect the events will remain the same as it was in the game. I would also like to mention I RP as turian Garrus.

Garrus Vakarian's family has a history of military service stretching as far back as the second world war. Like most of his family, Garrus joined an elite military school at the age of nineteen and graduated at the top of his class. Shortly after his fourth year mark as a marine his captain, Saren Arterius, was accused of killing former officer Nihlus Kryik and leaking information. Digging into the investigation himself, Garrus was able to confirm the accusations toward Saren but was promptly stripped of his rank and left the marines with dishonorable discharge due to complications with mishandled evidence and association with Admiral David Anderson, who was known for his disdain toward Saren. After two years of fighting the bureaucracy of the military Garrus fled the country in disgust and found his way to a small city called Omega. It was there where he found a new way of life that didn't have red tape or politicians holding him back any longer. With Omega being lawless and ran by different groups of mercenaries Garrus was able to bring what little justice he could to the city. After three months of taking out criminals and local gang members Garrus eventually built up a team of eleven specialists to aid him in his vigilante activities, along with receiving the name "Archangel" from the civilians for all his "good deeds". When one member of his team betrayed the others, an act that lead to their deaths, Garrus became overwhelmed by anger and guilt, making him increasingly violent. Sidonis requested his help on a job that turned out to be bogus. Garrus returned to his base only to find out that the rest of the team were massacred. All but two of the squad were dead when he reached them, and they didn't last long afterward. Garrus learned that Sidonis cleared out his accounts and booked a ticket out of Omega just before the attack. After leaving Omega and travelling back home Garrus began his search for Sidonis.
Personal life:
Garrus grew up with his father and younger sister, Solana, losing their mother at a young age. Garrus respected his father greatly while growing up but after being discharged from military life their relationship took a turn for the worse. His father, being a detective for their local police station, often saw Garrus' views of good and bad childish and voiced his concerns over the incident regarding Garrus' late captain, Saren Arterius. Going as far as to say that what Garrus had done was disrespectful and should not have stuck his nose in places it didn't belong. After fleeing to Omega Garrus severed all ties with his family. It wasn't until after Sidonis' betrayal that Garrus made amends with both his father and sister.

Skills/Abilities:
During his short years of military service Garrus collected an array of skills. Hacking computers and encrypting/decrypting data extracted from different sources had paved his way up the chain of command. However he was also a master marksmen and prefered life on the frontlines rather than time spent behind a desk. Garrus' skill with guns--specifically his rifleman skills--most notably saved his skin in more ways than one back in Omega. He's had extensive training in hand-to-hand combat and was the top ranked hand-to-hand specialist in his class.

Personality:
Awkward and sometimes dorky, Garrus is often taken lightly by those who know him on a personal level. During his search for Sidonis, a former cop he once knew named Harkin supposedly helped with Sidonis' disappearance. After receiving an anonymous tip that Harkin was involved Garrus was enraged and sought him out. After threatening him at gunpoint Harkin told Garrus that 'this wasn't his style' and that 'he didn't have guts to pull the trigger'. Deciding to prove him wrong Garrus shot Harkin in the leg and proceeded to throw him around for some answers. After a brutal beating Harkin admitted he helped Sidonis disappear but lost contact with him two months prior.
