Calls for Attention
_______You have to wonder what prompts some people to do what they do. Some are reasonable...or at least UNDERSTANDABLE. Others...can be more along the lines of downright stupid and incomprhensible. Usually the later can be very amusing in the proper circumstances. Such as when you receive a call to the wrong number.
_______By that, I'm referring to a call I received recently from a prison unit hours away from where I live. I didn't answer it of course, but I did do research on who they were referring too. It wasn't hard considering they gave the name of the person and what prison he was at. He apparantly had five outstanding warrants to his name and was arrested. Not for the warrants of course, but for something much simpler. Water Theft.
_______Needless to say I didn't call them back but I will say that I worry about the state of the legal system in my area, because yes he was from my area, when it's water theft that gets him caught and not the five warrants to his name. Though it's also extremely amusing that water theft is such a large deal in the area where I live that it requires them to break a door down to get to a guy sleeping on his bedroom floor, high off his a**.
