so I'm dealing with a stressful off-Gaia situation (altho this person has cyberstalked me enough they know of this account here on Gaia).

it all started with me trying to get someone to understand that copying the fanart of a Japanese fanartist who stated they didn't want people doing that - and even deleted their gallery because of how many people weren't respecting their wishes - was wrong, then telling this person that falsely accusing other people of stealing art when she'd been plagiarizing herself would reflect badly on her.

I didn't know it at the time, but this person had at least two years history where she'd trace or copy artwork, get caught, then slander and harass people who pointed that out and tried to explain to her why it's wrong. (this person claims to be 24, btw, so it's not like she's some spoiled teen, she's an adult who should be able to know better - unless she's lying about her age.) I'd like to note someone she had interaction with called her harassment and defamation campaign against her so "violent" that she caved. from there she started claiming that the person she was falsely accusing had brainwashed me into believing her and then started harassing and slandering me with claims of me stealing art as well. she even went to lengths great enough she made an attempt to contact Kazue Kato on twitter to tell her my original composition fanart for Blue Exorcist and the pilot oneshot was "stolen without permission." (it failed because she had a space between the @ and her username.)

she bitched about me trying to get her in trouble and "reporting her journals" after I sent a DMCA notice to deviantArt because she uploaded a piece to her gallery that was a screenshot of fanart I did next to a screenshot of the character slandering me as an art thief. she did the same to someone else who also filed a DMCA notice for it, they got the same reaction from her. she claimed we were just being vindictive because she was spreading the truth about us. she even threatened to further harass me if she wound up getting her account banned for copyright infringement in a facebook page she runs.

she has repeatedly try to slander me as someone who steals art and who harasses her without reason all because I refuse to back down and say, no, she wasn't stealing art when she was deliberately copying existing works and uploading artwork made by other people to her deivantArt account, and more recently add that editing other people's artwork without permission or credit isn't art theft. she basically wants me to say she's never been in the wrong and can do whatever she wants.

her harassment has included, besides her normal attempts to slander me with false accusations of art theft, a photoshopped screenshot of one of the uploads to my pixiv account where she replaced the actual image with a badly photoshopped dragon posted to her tumblr, a text submission to her tumblr trying to make me out as someone trying to slander and harass her, blackmail attempts to put up private information where my ex-friends/stalkers could see it (a mule account of hers actually had that information up for a while before it got deleted), threats to sue me for harassment, ableist slurs and mocking the fact I'm forced to be reliant on family because of my chronic illness, and a laughable attempt to claim I was connected to the Illuminati (which was kind of amusing) followed by a violently bigoted tumblr post calling America a terrorist nation and telling me I need to "shut my terrorist mouth."

it's also stepped up to the point I had a friend on facebook contact me saying she was contacting him and trying to get him to tell her information on me, even trying to contact him on twitter as well as facebook. I suspect she attempted to contact others as well, but considering they may suspect the situation is stressful for me they may have just ignored/blocked her and not said anything.

she went by Erzascarlet8 on dA, her original tumblr name was erza-scarlet-8, now it's erza-uchiwa, she's also gone by Monkey.D.Erza, Erza Okumura, Yuna Scarlet, and several other names, most with some connection to Fairy Tail, Final Fantasy (usually Yuna or Lightning), or Blue Exorcist.

I have to admit, given what I've been thru with my ex-friends stalking/harassing/defaming me the more she pushes the more she makes me want to stand my ground and not take any bullshit from her. it would probably be easier to just let it drop, but I have a strong aversion to the idea of giving in to people like her. and since she's in France she's really not much of a physical threat, and since I used certain ways to archive her actions online she really can't sue me without me having stronger grounds for a countersuit than she has to sue by a longshot. there is stress in this situation, but the distaste of giving in outweighs that.

having nearly been cowed before by some assholes stalking and harassing me to the point I wouldn't leave the house alone unless I had to I find it exceedingly unpleasant to even make it seem I'd let someone do that to me again. it makes me want to show them that when you try to corner a b***h you better make sure you know what kind it is. the dog, she may cower; the wolf, she may stand her ground; but the stoat, she stands fangs bared and ready to attack.
