~*~Just A Date~*~
Part 1
"Sasuke-kun, wait up!" A similar voice that rang across the street, Sakura came running toward Sasuke.
"...." A silent Sasuke looked on as she passed some villagers and then came to a stop, just before him.
She smiled at him. "Hehee, are you on your way home?"
"...yeah" He had an idea of what Sakura would ask next, after all it wasn't the first time she ran up to him on his way home like this.
"Sasuke, if you're free right now...want to go out on a date?" She was blushing slightly, but it was nothing new to him.
He gave a quick reply. "No thanks." Sasuke continued his walk home.
"Aw, common Sasuke-kun!" Sakura urged, and started walking along him. "It'll be fun, I promise! We can go out for dinner and then go look at the stars! I know a great place, the view is really pretty!"
Sasuke stopped and turned face to face with Sakura. "Why does she always ask me out, she knows I'll say no..." He thought to himself. He was a bit annoyed, it was like a cat was following him home or something. He talked to Sakura in a stronger voice this time. "Sakura, if you have time to go on dates at this hour, why don't you do some training or something instead? Just leave me alone, will you?"
Sakura's face of cheerfulness started to fade and now all that was left on her face was a weak smile.
Sasuke suddenly felt a shoot of guilt run past inside him. Though, he didn't understand why he should of felt it, it wasn't the first time he had turned Sakura down.
"S..sorry, Sasuke-kun." She tried best to hide her disappointment. "You're right, I guess it's not a good idea to go out this late..."
"...." He turned his back toward her and started to walk home, once again. Still feeling that little guilt inside him. "I'll see you tomorrow." He muttered.
"Bye Sasuke-kun..." She watched as Sasuke walked further away from her.
"Sakura-chann~!!!"
Sasuke looked behind, seeing Naruto run toward Sakura in glee.
"Sakura-chan, I'm glad saw you! Iruka-sensei is going to treat me to ramen, I'm sure he'll treat you too! Come, come!!" Naruto grabbed Sakura's hand and pulled her in the direction where Iruka was.
"Naruto, let go of me! I can walk by myself!" She couldn't get Naruto to let go of her hand. "Naruto!"
"...." Sasuke watched as Naruto was holding her hand and urging her to come. Sakura didn't look back at Sasuke but walked away...Her body movements weren't as jerky anymore, more relaxed...
"Oh, fine!" Sakura let Naruto lead her. She looked at her hand, in Narutos. "If only this was Sasuke's..." She thought to herself.
They were walking fast so in just a few seconds they were out of Sasuke's sight. Sasuke looked at the ground, feeling some what irrated than usual. He didn't understand. "Damnit. What's...wrong with me?"
At the ramen shop, Iruka was already eating his ramen and had already ordered for Naruto. "Ah, Naruto you're late. I've already started to eat."
Naruto lifted up his hand, showing off Sakura to Iruka. "Iruka-sensei!! I invited Sakura-chan to eat too!"
"Oh, Sakura-san, konbanwa." Ikura peered into his wallet. "Um, order whatever you like..."
"Thank you..." Sakura shot a look to Naruto. "Naruto! Will you let go of my hand already!?"
"Nishishishi~ Sakura-chan no need to be shy!" Naruto grinned at the girl.
"I...idiot!" Sakura forced her arm away, releasing her hand from Narutos. She sat down, one seat away from Iruka expecting him to sit in between them.
Naruto walked over the seat vacant between Iruka and Sakura but didn't sit down. He carefully carried the ramen to the other seat, next to Sakura and then sat down.
"It's sorta like we're alone on a date now!" Naruto grinned once again at Sakura. "...only, Iruka-sensei is paying...Nishishishi..."
Sakura started to blush just a bit. "Why are you saying these things Naruto? This isn't a date!"
"I know but I'm just happy!" Naruto picked up the chopsticks that were beside the ramen and broke them in half.
"..happy? Why?"
"Because! I'm eating my favorite food with my favorite girl!"
"favorite girl..." Sakura's voice trailed off and her face became slightly redder than before. She had always known Naruto liked her, but it had never made her stop twice to think about it.
"Can I take your order?"
Sakura's thoughts were interrupted. "oh yes. Um, I'll have one MisoRamen please..."
"Alright, coming right up! Cute girlfriend you have here Naruto."
"HE'S NOT MY BOYFRIEND!!!" Sakura stood up in defense. Her face was beating red now. "I dont like him, we're just teammates and-"
"Miss! Clam down, I was just teasing you two..."
Sakura didn't realize she was talking so loud, she stopped and sat back down. "...we're just teammates."
She glanced over at Naruto, who seemed saddened by her outburst. Naruto wasn't stupidly smiling like he always was, instead was quietly eating the ramen.
"N..naruto..." Sakura started to explain. "I just...."
"...." Naruto stopped eating and sat the chopsticks down and gave Sakura a warm smile. "Nishishi...don't worry about it."
"Naruto....." Sakura felted a bit of relief seeing Naruto smile once again. She smiled at him and watched as he ate his ramen.
Meanwhile, Sasuke was at home eating his dinner. Of course, he made his own since no one was there like long before...when his mother, father were alive... Self made rice balls was his dinner, nothing fancy but it healed his stomach from hunger.
He was still irrated from seeing Sakura with Naruto, he still didnt know why. Could it be, that Uchiwa Sasuke was jealous? Sakura had always paid her attention and affection to him but his time seeing her go along with another man...with Naruto of all the people! Sasuke got up and proceeded to go for a walk, since he felt there was nothing else productive to do.
"Yummmmm, thanks for the ramen Iruka-sensei!" Naruto rubbed his tummy.
Sakura politely thanked Iruka. "Thank you Iruka-sensei."
"No problem, make sure you guys go home now. It's late." Iruka waved goodbye at his two former students and walked away.
"Sakura-chan, I'll walk you home!" Naruto went for Sakura's hand.
Sakura pulled her hands together, behind her back. "N..no, it's okay. I can go by myself."
"But it's dangerous! I'll protect you! okay okay?" Naruto urged.
Sakura gave in. "Alright..."
They walked together, to her house. Naruto kepted talking about how he would become stronger and stronger...and how he could beat up Sasuke any day.
"Ha, you couldnt beat Sasuke. He was the strongest in the academy!" Sakura argued.
"Ya, ya?? Well, we'll see wont we!? I'll beat him so bad one day, just you watch!"
Next the conversation turned over to Kakashi-sensei.
"Why do you think he's always late anyhow?" Sakura wondered.
Naruto guessed. "He's probally late cos he keeps reading thouse books of his."
"It wouldnt hurt him to be on time for once..."
"Nishishi...we should steal that book! I always wondered what it's like to read!"
"...but you cant read kanji can you?" Sakura teased.
"I...I'll learn!"
Then the conversation turned back over to Sasuke just as they reached Sakura's front door.
"...ah, so that's why you were with him earlier today."
"...I got turned down again. Heheh. It's okay thou, he was probally in a mad mood today, that's why he..."
Sakura noticed Naruto, who was staring at her with his blue eyes.
"What is it?" She asked.
"Ne, Sakura-chan...."
"What? Be more straight forward, Naruto!"
"Dont hate me okay?" Naruto took a step forward.
"Huh?"
Without warning, Naruto quickly took more steps toward the girl. He lifted himself up with his toes to be slightly taller than Sakura and grabbed her left sholder. He closed his eyes and softly gave her a kiss.
It took just a moment for Sakura to realize what he had done, as Naruto's face slowly moved away from hers. She stared blankly at him. "Na...Naruto!! What do you think you're-"
"I'll become stronger than Sasuke and then ...you'll see right? That, that I'm just as strong as him!" Naruto's face became deep red, he let go of her sholder and took a couple of steps back infear that Sakura would hit him.
Sakura didnt know what to do next. She would usually hit him and storm off angry but...for some reason she couldnt do it. "Naruto....."
"Nishishishi...ne, was that your first kiss?" He looked up at the Sakura.
Sakura noticed a little his smirk on his face. "I..Idoit!" She turned to go into her house.
"Nishishishi~" Naruto gloated with happiness. "....I'm Sakura's first kiss!"
She turned back toward Naruto and hit him hard on the head.
"D...Dont say stupid things!!"
"OW!" Naruto touched the bump that was starting to grow on his head. "Sakura-chan that hurt......ah..."
Naruto noticed a dark figure in the shadows, not big enought to be an adult thou.
"....? What is it Naruto?" Sakura looked over to the alley, which Naruto was staring at. " S.....Sasuke-kun!!!"
