I've watched Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children at least 8 times ever since I got it yesterday.
I've come to the realization of how pissed I really am at my brother for giving away our copy of Final Fantasy VII. I could have stolen it before he moved out. ._.;
Anyway, there are a few downsides I wish they had focused more in Advent Children's storyline. x.x
First of all, I understand Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz are remnants of Jenova, but what's their origin? How did they first come to be? Dx
Take Sephiroth for example; he was the son of Hojo and Lucrecia(may be spelled wrong), who had Jenova cells injected into his body and was researched by Hojo. But Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz don't really have an explained birth. Dx
Also, I'm curious how Denzel was introduced. I sear I heard him call Cloud "papa" when his Geostigma was healed, but that wouldn't make any sense. Because the movie takes place two years after the game, there wouldn't have been enough time for a child to grow as old as he is. Maybe adoption? x.x;
Lastly, a more in-depth explanation would have been nice to explain how Rufus survived Diamond Weapon's attack on Midgard.
The movie is great, but they should have explained a little more. Dx
Also, Cloud's new style of fighting, with the duel blades, looks and moves very similar to Lau's style of fighting from the video game Bujingai.
Over all, the movie has more positives than negatives. Such as the high definition graphics; how they drew and designed everything from every last stran of hair to the smalled detail of skin blemishes. Their goal of new camera angles that could never be accomplished in reality are excellent. And the new Orchestra and Rock mix of the theme "One Winged Angel" was rather sweet, along with the Piano mix of the original fight theme when Tifa and Loz fight in Aerith's church.
Now for one more complaint...
Damn Square Enix for keeping Final Fantasy VII $30, instead of like most games that are 9 years old. Dx anyway, I think I'll try to get it. Not anytime soon though, since I'm trying to save for new clothes from Hot Topic's site. x.x;
