Here I shall attempt to explain the flash you just (or should have) watched.
1. Who is the gun kid, and why does he/she have a gun?
I honestly have no clue why, but I suspect that... a) it's not safe to be without one b) Gun kid is helping the hunters, or c) this is one of those worlds where kids run around with guns because they don't know better. Or d), which is the author FELT LIKE having a KID WITH A GUN, DAMMIT!!!
2. Why does the spider guy snatch the moth boy from the other guy?
I have 2 thoeries. 1 is that nature is nature, and even spiders need to eat. Spider, moth, get it? But that seems a little barbaric. My second heory is that spider guy was rescuing the moth from the human (see my theory of humanizing, below)
3. What does the fire man want with the moth boy?
No clue! I'll tell you a shameful secret: At first I thought that the moth boy was a girl, and I really wanted them to kiss!! Ha-ha! I feel embarassed now.....
4. Who are the forest kids?
I personally believe that the forest kids are some of those who have been de-Elemented (see the theory below) and that is why they are so ghostly.
5. Who is the girl locked up? Why does she have that weird stuff on her?
I think that she is another result of the humanization process, and obviously she's gone crazy from it. Be patient! I will explain the processes of humanization and de-Elementing in a bit!
6. Who is the boy with the claws? What is he doing on the hunters' ship?
I'm pretty sure that the boy with claws is known as "poison boy" in the credits. Not positive, but there you go. I have no idea what he is doing on the ship. Is the poison boy helping them? Trying to stop them? Or just watching?
7. Why did they chop off the sea man's wings?
THIS is what I mean by de-Elementation! When I first saw it, I thought they were chopping him up, as whalers would chop up a whale. But then an even more creepy idea came to me. What if... they were chopping off his wings..... to make him "normal". What is they hunted down Elements (as I call the animal-people) and took away what made them Element?
I think this is what happened to the crazy girl. That would make the red and black stuff on her arms and back healing wounds - where they cut off whatever special features she had. This is what drove her mad - all the feelings of nature - of being an Element - taken away to be replaced by emptiness. I also think that the forest children underwent the process when they were very young. They do not remember being Element, but they still cannot live fully. Perhaps this also happened to poison boy, and that is why he watches the others. Maybe the human was going to take moth boy away to de-Element him.
I don't know for sure. But I keep having nightmares of fire-man having his wings chopped off. It's driving me insane. I know it would be the worst thing ever to happen.... so that's why I want it so bad.
Anyway, back to Element trailer explained.
8. Who is the girl with horns and why is she tied up? What does the bald man want with her?
I'm pretty sure the girl with the horns is Kdelphi, as mentioned in the credits. I also think that the bald man was a doctor, going to de-Element her. Whoever she is, she ROX!!!
9. Why does fire man slam moth boy down at the end?
I don't know! But doesn't he look hot with his wings on fire like that? *sigh* I keep having thses images of him falling with a harpoon in him, wings all fiery.... *sigh*
Well, thank you for reading. I hope it's a LITTLE clearer now. But that's what makes it so awesome, isn't it? The mystery of it all?
