_____→ On the surface, Adam is a fairly calculating individual. He does everything with an air of confidence and superiority that he doesn’t necessarily always feel. Adam is the type of person that needs to know exactly where he stands and doesn’t do well with vague ideas or concepts. Not above using manipulation to get what he wants, when Adam sets his mind to something it’s usually achieved. Despite the fact that he tends to come across as aloof, he’s in possession of quite the temper.
Adam is one of the least friendly people you could ever think to encounter. While it may take a bit to get his blood boiling, when he starts to steam it’s a good idea to steer clear. He’s become somewhat notorious for his rages, prompting his peers to try and guess his mood before approaching him with anything. The problem with Adam is that the assumption that he’s uncaring is fairly widespread but also quite untrue. When he cares about something or someone, he cares incredibly deeply.

_____→ His parents are wealthy French diplomats and gave their son whatever he wanted, but were rarely around to pay him any attention. He spent the majority of his childhood alone with the servants. As a result, he became incredibly selfish and cruel. He is used to getting what he wants and having life be easy for him, and if for some reason he doesn’t get his way or he finds something challenging, Adam loses his temper. Because of the neglect his parents showed him in his younger years he thinks himself unlovable, and figures if this is true then he might as well act that way. Growing up was hard for young Adam, his servants did all they could to provide for him. Seeing his anger rise and become progressively violent they knew he needed help. The head servant Luis kindly offered his aid to calm the young master. Adam rejected his help and disappeared into his room, secluding himself there until his father appeared. Seeing his son in such distress he decided to move the family out to the states. Adam didn't take to kindly to the move, his servants followed him everywhere he went, but at a distance so he could feel less controlled.
His father was soon deployed back to France because his job needed him back. Adam's mother remained with Adam as much as she could until his father asked her to fly back as well. Adam begged to join her, but his father only got one ticket for his wife. Adam was left behind with the servants to be taken care of. This event brought back his anger and had him vent it out with destroying the interior of the house pretty much. Adam remained in his home, only going outside to tend to the rose garden once a day. His faithful servant Luis made sure he was eating and staying healthy. The servants knew this loneliness was bad for the boy so they got him to go to school and do his best to learn more of the English language. Adam was very resistant to lose his home tongue but he was assured he wouldn't. He was bullied continuously for not understanding the language and being the quiet one in the corner all the time. Suffering from such torment he let that reside in him until it exploded. He got into fights several times and was left bruised and bloodied after each time. His servants were stressed and so they removed him from school. Adam was a handful and they needed to get him to find an outlet or they would lose him completely.
Adam had lived his life selfishly in turn he had developed two serious disorders as he grew up. The lack of his parents caring for him left his mind to go to different places at once due to neglect. His bi-polar disorder started at the age of twelve. This was a condition in which people go back and forth between periods of a very good or irritable mood and depression. The “mood swings” between anger and sadness can be very quick and dangerous. Then one thing led to another and he grew more and more angry as time went on. He bottles his emotions sometimes to a point where they can explode over the smallest of things. His intermittent explosive disorder followed soon after his bi-polar was diagnosed and left his servants worrying for his safety. I.E.D. is a behavioral disorder characterized by extreme expressions of anger, often to the point of uncontrollable rage, that are disproportionate to the situation at hand. Impulsive aggression is unpremeditated, and is defined by a disproportionate reaction to any provocation, real or perceived. Adam has dealt with these two complicated and very violent disorders that has made him intimidating to his peers yet still approachable.
Underneath his extremely harsh exterior is actually a very caring young man, though hardly anyone has ever encountered this side of him. He doesn't let people get that close to find that part of him either.
