It's always hard going through your life and finding out someone you love so much is so sick. A few years ago my uncle wasn't doing so good. He was really tired and in a lot of pain and no one knew why. He went to the doctors a few times. When the news that he had cancer came out, it was pretty late in the game. He went through chemo and whatnot. The standard procedure. But, it wasn't really getting any better. At first the cancer was in his leg. It then traveled up to his lungs and other parts of his body. It was really hard watching him suffer but soon, I just stopped seeing him all the time.
My cousin was devastated. But, then again, who wouldn't be? Her dad was sick. Really sick. My aunt was being strong for him. My grandma told everyone that it would be okay and my mom didn't talk him. So, I was pretty much kept out of the loop. For a long time I really didn't hear anything on the new of his cancerous state. For about two years.
Recently, he's taken a turn for the worse. My mom was reluctant to pull names for Christmas because she was scared he wasn't going to be here anymore. Hospice came in and brought in a hospital bed that now sits in there living room. That's where my uncle spends almost all of his time. Not to long ago he went back to the doctor and they had some bad news. They found more cancer in his mouth, at least that's what they think it is.
It's hard watching someone you so greatly love go through this much pain. To watch them suffer day after day, not being able to heal or turn it off. Cancer is a b***h. All I really want is to see my uncle come into contact with a miracle.
