My stories
I pour whatever emotion I have in to these entries. Some of them tell what I felt on that day. Some are true stories. If they offend you: I am sorry, but this is me.
Anime Review: Strike Witches
Today, I am starting an anime review blog(ish). It will review different aspects based on the first episode. I will inform you if I have watched more than one. Now, most is going to be opinions, but bear in mind that this is a review and I will put my judgement upon it.

Now then, lets get started:

Strike Witches (or should I say Lolicon Fan Service) is about a group of girls (witches [and pant-less]) who are defending the world against an alien invasion. These aliens are called Neuroi and are frequent flyers of airships with hexagonal cyberpatterns that shoot warping lasers.

The concept is amazing overall except for the predominant fan service (unless of course you are into that sort of thing). The World War II era alternate earth is what got me interested. Like another fairly popular anime *A(HETALIA)EM*, it features one or two girls representing different regions of the globe. Liberion (or the US of A) is represented (of course) by a busty lass by the name of Charlotte E. Yeager. Fuso's (or Japan's) representatives are Yoshika Miyafuji, a young girl with healing powers, and Mio Sakamoto, a major with super vision in one eye. Karlsland (or Germany) has 3 reps: Minna-Dietlinde Wilcke, Erica Hartmann, Gertrud Barkhorn. Lynette Bishop represents Britannia (well aint that obvious). Perrine H. Clostermann is representative of Gallia (France). Francesca Lucchini hails from Romagna (don't tell me you can't solve that mystery). Eila Ilmatar Juutilainen is from Soumus (Finland and a smidgion of Russia). Last but not least (definitely my favorite), Sanya V. Litvyak from Orussia (Okay, they gave up on that one). I would get more characters in there, but that would be just a lot of rambling (and reading... who wants to read???). You have NO idea how many little squiggly red lines I got from doing that... It's driving me bonkers!!

The primary focus? Why none other than high-tech, high-powered, high-flying, magical pair of *Deep breath* LEGGINGS!!!!! Yes, leggings! What do you expect when girls are running around with no pants on? But, hey, if girls with no pants wearing magical leggings flying around shooting at alien invaders to save the world from certain destruction are wearing them, then I am more than willing to accept them. The idea for them is awesome... but extensive classes on physics and engineering (plus a logical standing point [a curse upon me]) tell me everything about them is wrong. But I can still dream and in my opinion they are freaking sweet. Great concept with remarkable powers.

Art? Focused to make the characters look cute. Does a pretty good job of doing so, but anything non living is detailed ink drawings. Nothing out of the ordinary though.

The things that caught my eye was alternate-earth with alternate history. Its like a futuristic Fatherland (good book by-the-by). The World War II aspect is remarkable because the alternate-earth has pre-World War II technology (save for the magical leggings).

The Weird and Awkward Section:

FURRIES!!!! The girls gain dog ears and tails when ever they use their powers! WHY ?!? What is the point of the ears and the tails?!? To increase the cuteness factor or just because the producers want to be dogs from mental scarring from their long lost childhood?

ANY JEEBUS!! I give this show (so far) an 8/10. Mostly from the overall concept of the show. To be completely honest, I cannot wait to see more.
