A magical trip awaits you in Lucia's mind...
Whistling.. :*
So I don't know if you know, but I am a pro whistler.

No really.

I don't want to brag but *brushes nonexistent dust off shoulder* I am pretty good.

Seeing as this is a journal entry, I don't mind being full of myself. mrgreen

I am, actually, a really good whistler. I think I have a full two octave range. I mean, it doesn't SOUND impressive, but you try two octaves! I could reach notes lower than my two octave range, and I could reach notes higher. However, those notes are all by themselves, meaning if I were to include them in my range, they would make gaps.

There are certain notes that I simply can't whistle. I hope when I get my braces off, I could reach those.

Whistling at my age is pretty useless, I have to admit. It's fun though. I mean, I enjoy whistling a lot. I like hearing myself whistle.

I can't sing well. I don't sing horribly. I can hit quite a few notes easily. I just don't like the sound of my singing. Having whistling as an alternative is nice, I suppose.

Plus, I can't sing in front of people. I could whistle though.

I don't know how the whistling sound would look if it was phonetically written.

"hwooooooooooooooooo...?" I guess.

My transition between notes sounds pretty darn awesome too.

Man, if I knew how to attach an audio file to this entry, I would let you have a listen! But alas, I'm not computer whiz, so that's a goner.

"hwooooo hwoooooo hwooooooooo hwooooooooooooo hwooooooooooooo"

?

Ahh, I still don't know if that works as a phonetically written whistle. neutral

I learned to whistle through instant noodles.

I spent majority of my life being jealous of those who can whistle. Now, I'm better than most of those people.

I have whistle inwardly and outwardly. It's.. fun, as I said before.

If you're learning how to whistle, I'd recommend eating spicy stuff.

Preferably spicy Asian stuff. Honestly, I've had a taste spicy things over here, and they're not ... much.

Like, wasabi over here isn't even spicy. confused

But anyways, to extend your range, I can only offer practice.

It hurts a bit if you whistle a lot. You know what that pain is? It's muscle pain!

When you whistle a lot, it strengthens your tongue, which is basically a muscle with taste buds, and it allows you to whistle with more notes.

It's like doing push-ups. It hurts, but you get better with practice, and eventually, you'll be doing, like 100+ push-ups.

I, myself, have not actually managed 100+ push-ups in one go. Ever.

I'm so weak. ><

Anyways, yeah.

Now go forth into the world, and whistle!

Okeedokes. Bye byes! Thanks for reading, and goodnight if it's night!
