JOURNAL LEGEND:
Black= Mun (person running Kyouya's account) scrawling and rambling on his notebook. Aka, anything OOC.
*Purple= An entry written as a public statement/rambling by Kyouya. Commenting encouraged.
*Purple Italics= An entry written with Kyouya's most personal thoughts, as if no one can read them. (Only to be acknowledged, not really for commenting. But you could so long as it's OOC.)
*Not always followed. Sometimes italics is used to emphasize a single word. The whole entry may not be italicized when it's meant to be one about a personal thought.

OOC:
Hi, I'm the mun, or the person who looks after this Kyouya. I don't like to go by any name in particular, unless I'm a bit close to you.
Here are a few things you should know:
--
1. I spell his name as Ootori Kyouya.
I accept other spellings too, but I would highly prefer if you call him by such.
If you're afraid to use 'Kyoya' because you think I'll get peeved, please... do me a favor and just call him 'Kyoya'. It gets kind of awkward if you don't acknowledge him by name at all, so I'd rather have that.
2. This Kyouya acknowledges most mediums that Ouran appears in.
Mostly anime, manga, and live action drama versions of Ouran High School Host Club. Occasionally, I will use sprites from the DS game. The only thing that we can't really make use of is the Japanese radio drama, but I may make a reference to it every now and then.
3. I take all the necessary precaution to ensure that he will hardly go out of character.
An exception to this is for my own friends and their accounts. If you see him going out of character, it's probably towards them.
I know this may turn off some roleplayers, but you have to understand that this Kyouya wouldn't have existed without those said friends. I didn't even like him at all, but ever since I started roleplaying this Kyouya as an inside joke, he's been a character I've held dearly ever since.
4. Keep in mind that I consider Kyouya and I to be different entities.
I am NOT Kyouya, and I'm very different from him, therefore, don't lump us into one person. That's... weird. My opinions, philosophies, and worldview will not necessarily be his and vise versa. Since I refer to him as a separate identity, either of us might have a tendency to use 3rd person plural (using "us," "we," "our" to refer to myself and Kyouya)
5. Do NOT be personally offended by his coldness/ meanness/other negative attributes.
I am only making him act the way he's supposed to be. Just because he's acting negatively doesn't mean you should take it personally. Don't try to change him either! If you think we're going too far, please let us know.
6. We're very flexible with roleplaying styles.
I prefer roleplaying in paragraphs or narratives, such as:
-3rd person present or past tense
-1st person present (occasionally)
It all depends on where and how we're communicating. Other times, when I feel like our conversation won't lead to a plot the dialogue will only be accompanied with actions between hyphens (ie. -adjusts his glasses-). If I'm feeling up for it my posts will be supplemented with screencaps, icons, edited graphics, and gifs.
7. As a disclaimer, not all the images I use are mine, but a good chunk of the icons are made by me.
This is pretty self-explanatory. lol.
8. I prefer conversing over profile comments rather than PM's, unless you want to talk to me (Kyouya-mun).
Kyouya has a lot of PM's from serious/host club concerns. If all you're going to do is raise small talk, I'd rather you opt for the profile comments instead. That will be lighter on his inbox.
...an exception to this is if you want to talk to me (Kyouya-mun). I don't mind, go ahead and PM. I prefer to keep personal stuff about myself out of Kyouya's profile.
9. I have nothing against other roleplayers of the same character.
I have great admiration for quite a few on gaia and across the internet, and I really think it's interesting to see each others' interpretations. : D I'm well aware that some of us will have to borrow some things around... but please avoid ripping off my account! I've worked very hard these past years and tried to make this Kyouya my own. I'd appreciate it if as much as possible you would do the same for yours. : /
10. I can be comfortable with crossovers, but only if you can find a way for it to be plausible.
Like for example, Ouran is more or less set in a realistic, modern world with some fun eccentricities and exaggerations. (Renge's high power motorized stage materializing from seemingly nowhere, the ability to grow mushrooms in corners within the span of five seconds, an indoor jungle pool 3km in diameter... what the heck, right?).
If the series your character is from fits a similar bill, then it's likely there could be crossover fun! But if the series is from another time and place, with too much otherworldly elements, then it might be too much of a stretch and I would have to decline. ^^;
Of course, I would very much prefer if I am also a fan of the other series. If you're not sure we could roleplay, feel free to ask!
11. Host =/= Potential Boyfriend.
It is a job of a host to entertain, not romantically pursue guests. There's a difference. But sure, go ahead and make your character have a crush on him, we (probably) won't mind. Just don't expect that he'll reciprocate.
12. This Kyouya is straight, but for most part he remains mostly uninterested in pursuing a romantic relationship.
Canonically speaking, he has other priorities... (ie school and family business-related work). He feels very strongly about this life goal, and will rather not have anything get in the way.
Secondly, he hardly acts upon his feelings. Canon example in question: Haruhi. He made little to no move in pursuing her. And if you're going to bring up that beach episode, I really do believe that he didn't have feelings for her during that point in time, so it doesn't count.I can discuss my in depth opinion with you, if you want.
Besides... I prefer to roleplay friendships. I don't feel comfortable RPing romances, unless I highly trust you.
And most unfortunately for you, I've already given away his future-self, so...
Furthermore, we will not be held liable for your (character's) broken heart upon his highly imminent rejection.

With that all understood...
Ootori Kyouya, at your service.
