Today,
I lay here
thinking back.
I've begun to miss the days,
where I could smell the warmth on the air.
I could hear the snow fall to the ground,
and become one with it's fallen brethren.
I may have been blind,
naive,
oh so innocent then.
When the world was so much brighter.
Or,
so it seemed.
But I've opened my eyes,
awake,
perhaps even alive.
But the lie I knew as a happy world,
has burned to ashes,
before my eyes.
All that remains is the true,
original frame.
The girl I was before,
left me with the flames.
