My addiction to Gaia caused me to eventually have to leave high school. I used to not go to class sometimes because of events, chats with friends, etc. That and poor health caused me to rarely attend at all. My work fell so far behind that I realized I had no chance of graduating with my class (I was a senior at the time). My GPA went from a 3.9 to around a low C of 2.2. Instead of repeating a year, I chose to leave and receive my GED.
Now don't get me wrong. I'm not saying Gaia will eventually cause some of you to leave school, but I do see some of the beginning signs that hit me a year or so after I joined.
And in case anyone is wondering, I'm okay now. Decided to enter the workforce for a few years. That didn't work out too well and now I'm college at the age of 24 with a 4.0 GPA. Life is better now that I have a healthy relationship with the site. All it took were a few well-needed breaks.
