Andy was without a doubt the kindest Black sister. She was sensitive, soft spoken, and gentle. A few physical traits with her older sister, Bellatrix, were the only things they had in common, aside from their bloodline. Andromeda felt much closer to Narcissa, but Cissy seemed to have more of a preference for Bellatrix. Andy only cared more for Cissy because she was her younger sister, the baby, and she wasn't as cruel and cold as Bella.
There was a kindness in Andy that was vacant in her sisters, but she had to suppress it, opting only to share it with her cousin, Sirius. She couldn't be herself with anyone other than him. On the outside, Andy was an extremely quiet girl. She lived her life locked inside her head, leading her to spend more time reading and daydreaming. Andromeda has a calm composure about her, opting to remain relaxed and subtle. She thinks of herself as part of the background, something she always was in her home. Andy is graceful, polite, and not one to use foul language, if she chooses to speak at all.
Andromeda had a knack for Charms, although she kept mostly all of her grades up. She found that she liked all of her teachers and enjoyed her classes. Her time at Hogwarts has brought out her affection for Quidditch and a renewed faith in the human race. Seeing so many different people interact in one place. However, being in Slytherin house has left her feeling out of place. Because of that, Andromeda still hasn't gotten the proper chance to spread her wings and act the way she would have wanted to when she was a child. Nonetheless, she enjoys school, finding it to be a sort of safe haven from her cold family. Since being in St. Mungo's, Andromeda has considered going into the medical field once she leaves Hogwarts, but she fears she won't make it because she struggles slightly in Potions.

History:
Andromeda grew up in the wake of Bellatrix and Narcissa. At least, it felt that way. They were close, as children, no doubt about that, but they weren't the same. Something in Andy differed from her siblings; there was something gentler about her. Her parents could see it, and they were never pleased of it. Cygnus and Druella Black, proud purebloods with three pureblooded daughters. Except, there was a deffinint turmoil within Andromeda, but no one was to truly experience it, not even her, until she met Teddy Tonks, but that came later, at Hogwarts.
Andromeda was the middle child, but it wasn't a very big deal when she was younger. She was immersed in pureblood propaganda her whole childhood, and a part of her had trouble buying into it the way her sisters had. Make no mistake, being raised surrounded buy that, it left her bised against muggleborns and muggles. But, it didn't sink down to her core, the way it had for Bella and Cissy.
The first time Andromeda voiced her true opinions, she was punished severely. After that, is only happened once more, in the form of insulting her younger sister. Only the sisters knew about it, so her older sister took it upon herself to punish Andromeda. Her rabbit died that day, and Andy knew once and for all she wasn't one of these people. She never spoke her opinions again, except to Sirius. Andromeda had learned her lessons. She had to keep her true feelings locked deep down inside her. So she became much more closed off. She acted like she believed what her family did, and she had a decent life, as long as she kept mostly to herself.
Two weeks before Andromeda turned eleven, she fell ill and had to be rushed to St. Mungo's. Her Hogwarts letter arrived while she was there, but the doctor said she would not be able to go. Her immune system was failing, and it would require time for the doctors to heal her. Her family pulled some strings, and ensured she would be permitted to be sorted with next years first years.
She started Hogwarts a year behind, with her younger sister. She was sorted into Slytherin, and she couldn't understand why. This drove her deeper into her own head, where she remained until she met Teddy Tonks. Her time at Hogwarts had been neutral. She spent a great deal of her time in the library, and on the grounds. She kept her grades up, enjoyed watching Quidditch, and kept mostly to herself.
