ummm......journal?
i dunno...all the cool kids are doing it...
100 miles in September
I'm doing it again for September...

9/3 - 15.3 miles
9/5 - 2.03 miles
9/8 - 14.6 miles
9/13 - 14.4 miles *see below
9/15 - 9.3 miles
9/22 - 5.5 miles
9/24 - .79 miles (I just rode down to meet a friend after work and walked her home instead of riding)
9/28 - 4.5 miles

66.4 miles done - 33.6 miles to go

As a reward for meeting my goal in August, I'm buying myself these nifty wheel lights:

because it gets dark out earlier now and night time visibility is important on a bike. wink *edit* The lights came and they're pretty awesome! If you have a bike you should get some of these - people will definitely notice you after dark!
I'll update this entry with my mileage for the month.

*9/13 - Tonight I was biking home and I had a little wipeout. The city is doing a lot of construction for our new light rail train and they have these plastic orange temporary fences everywhere. Well I drifted too close to one and caught the end of my handlebar on it and down I went! (Ugh. did anyone see that? *looks around*) I popped right back up - both me and the bike were fine - I just had a road rash below my knee. When I got home I got a better look at it and thought it was pretty cool, so I took a picture of it:

Lol, I've never gotten a heart shaped road rash before! xd

9/15 - I have officially lost track of how many people have shouted "Nice bike!" or "Cool lights!" as I ride past. xd Most people around here just have the blinking headlight and tail light - I haven't seen anyone else with these lights... Tonight a cop actually slowed down and kept pace with me for a few minutes so they could watch them!

9/20 - Holy crap it's like we went right from summer directly to winter! I'm going to try and get a few more rides in if I can but I'm not sure I'll make my goal this month. sad

Ok - I didn't make my goal this month but I think I did pretty well considering how the weather suddenly switched from the dog days of summer to the far edge of fall. The scale didn't move for me this month, but I did go down a pant size - so I'll chalk that up as a win.

I rode 11 hours, 25 minutes
I burned 3945 calories
and I went down 1 pant size.
