Ada Wong (alias; real name unknown) was a beautiful woman of Asian heritage with a largely unknown yet dark past. She was initially an industrial spy for the rival company of the Umbrella Corporation. She was also known for working with Albert Wesker, and later betrayed both of them for another unknown organization. She was a woman completely shrouded in mystery who was initially cold and mysterious to everyone she encountered. She underwent rigorous special training in firearms, acrobatics, and was the very definition of a professional. She was able to operate in a calm, cool and collected manner even in the most extreme situations, without showing the slightest unease. Whether she truly cared for anyone or was just using her charm to manipulate people was never clear. She frequently opposed Wesker's orders, and her true motives remain a mystery.
Early History

Little is known about Wong's life due to her extremely secretive nature, and even her name is an alias. At some point, she received rigorous training in firearms and acrobatics and was employed as a spy by the rival company of the Umbrella Corporation. She infiltrated one of the corporation's main laboratories, Arklay Laboratory, to gather information and data regarding the t-virus. She entered into a relationship with the chief scientist at the facility, John Clemens, from whom she gained the majority of her information. Although the relationship was fake, Clemens used Wong's name as his personal password.

Due to the unexpected t-virus outbreak on May 11, 1998, Wong was unable to retrieve the virus for the rival company, but used her skills in order to escape the laboratory. The company made up for this by extending an invitation to Albert Wesker to defect from Umbrella. At some point, Wesker sent Wong a report on his past at Umbrella. 9 In August, while undercover within Umbrella Headquarters, she obtained information that a researcher was close to the completion of the G-virus and reported it to Wesker.

Raccoon City Destruction Incident (September 199 cool

Based on Wong's information, Wesker knew that the researcher was William Birkin and planned to save him in order to acquire the G-virus. He employed Wong and ordered her to infiltrate the Raccoon City Underground Laboratory and retrieve the virus. However, their plan was ruined after Umbrella began their own plan earlier, sending two teams of their U.S.S. (Umbrella Security Service) to retrieve the virus for themselves, leading to a city-wide biohazard with the t-virus leaking through the sewers. Around the same time, she learned that a freelance journalist named Ben Bertolucci had been investigating the "flesh-eating disease", and offered to supply him with information on Mayor Michael Warren and his connection with Umbrella in exchange for his cooperation.

During the biohazard engulfing the city, Wong searched for the laboratory. After learning that Bertolucci was locked in the jail cells of the R.P.D. (Raccoon Police Department), she took advantage of the chaos in the town and sneaked into the building to try and learn of another way to the laboratory from him. While in the R.P.D. parking garage, she encountered a rookie police officer named Leon S. Kennedy, initially mistaking him for a Zombie and almost shooting him. After introducing themselves, she schemed to use him to gain entry into the jail cells. After speaking with Bertolucci and learning of a way into the sewers, she abandoned Kennedy. Meanwhile, Wesker ordered her to locate Sherry Birkin so that she could be abducted, as her pendant contained a sample of the G-virus. After re-joining and pretending to cooperate with Kennedy, she successfully obtained the pendant after briefly encountering Sherry, who dropped it upon running away.

During a brief encounter with Annette Birkin, who shot at Wong, Kennedy jumped to save her and was shot. Wong ran after Annette. After finally catching up to Annette, who recognized her as Clemens' girlfriend, they briefly fought before Wong knocked her over a railing into the water below. She reunited with a wounded Kennedy, and tended to hi's wound. His near sacrifice unknowingly moved something within her heart and changed her. She had begun to fall in love with Kennedy. The two made their way to the laboratory, where Wong was injured by "G", the mutated William Birkin. Shortly after, she abandoned Kennedy. However, the change in her emotions caused her to resurface and jeopardize her own life in order to save him from the Tyrant (T-103 Type), and she was seriously injured in the process, sharing a kiss with Kennedy before going limp in his arms.

Initially believed to be dead, in reality Wong was pretending, afraid of slowing Kennedy down with her injuries. Later, she managed to retrieve a tissue sample taken from the "G" creature and aided Kennedy in destroying the Tyrant by providing him with a rocket launcher. Upon escaping from the laboratory, she patched herself up and made her way through the sewers to reach the Apple Inn in order to meet with a contact from the rival company. Teetering on the edge of death, she found her contact dead by suicide, and Wesker's face on a video monitor. He chastised her for her betrayal in helping Kennedy, and just as he was about to abandon her, she showed him the "G" tissue sample, which contained the G-virus. In response, Wesker informed her of the imminent missile strike and provided her with information on a means of escape: A helicopter leaving the city carrying an Umbrella executive.

He supplied her with a hook-shot and cut contact, and she began to wonder about what extent a leak of the G-virus would cause, and became disillusioned with Wesker, knowing that he would kill her when she was of no further use to him. Resolving to deal with it later, she made her way through the city streets and encountered the "Tyrant R". Upon defeating it, she used the hook-shot to latch onto the Umbrella helicopter and successfully escaped the city, wounded but alive and with the G-virus in her possession.

Upon her return, she became a legend in the spy business. Knowing that she would be betrayed the moment she was of no use to Wesker, she joined another organization as a double agent. The rival company began to suspect her of working for another agency, but she was deemed too dangerous to approach directly. One morning, while gazing at herself in a mirror, she renounced the name "Ada Wong" and began to weep. Over time, she came to terms with the change in her mentality caused by her interaction with Kennedy, and although she was no longer in love with him, she maintained a lingering attraction.

Southern Europe Incident (Autumn 2004)

At some point, Ada's new organization recovered a tissue sample of an ancient parasitic organism known as "Plaga" in an isolated mountain region in Southern Europe. Wesker, who had heard information about the parasites himself, had ordered Jack Krauser to steal a "dominant species Plaga" sample from a religious cult known as the "Los Illuminados". Although he infiltrated the cult, he was not trusted to come near the sample, and requested that Wesker send in Wong.

In order to control Wesker, who had gained a high position within the rival company, its leaders used a plan to have Wong monitor him, which would ensure that they kept each other in check and limit any betrayal. Meanwhile, Wong's own organization also desired the dominant Plaga sample and subordinate Plaga samples for their own research, and demanded that she fulfill that objective as a proof of loyalty to them, and betray Wesker by only sending him a regular subordinate Plaga. Conveniently, a researcher hired by the cult named Luis Sera had sent an e-mail to an old college friend, who was now dead, requesting medical assistance. Wong managed to intercept the e-mail and learnt that Sera wanted to leave the cult. After she told him who she was, he asked to be taken into protective custody. She decided to offer him a deal: she would protect him if he stole the sample from the cult as collateral.

In Autumn, Wong arrived in the village town the cult controlled and began conducting intelligence-gathering activities behind the scenes. There, she encountered Leon S. Kennedy again after six years. Minutes after ending her reunion with him, Wesker ordered her to kill him, deeming him a risk to the mission. She was shocked by the cold order to kill Kennedy, and, not fighting for the same side this time, she kept a cautious distance from him. However, she offered minor assistance. She devised a plan to use Kennedy as a distraction as she secretly completed her mission, use Sera to gain the sample, and use Krauser to take the fall for the entire incident.

Her plan began to go wrong. Sera was killed by Osmund Saddler and the sample fell back into the cult's hands. Krauser, who was secretly operating between Wesker and the cult, distrusted her and made it a three-way struggle. She sometimes used and sometimes supported Kennedy in pursuit of her goal, much like Raccoon City. After finding a speedboat, she gave Kennedy a lift to the isolated island controlled by the Los Illuminados. While there, she planted explosives and had a jet ski planted to serve as a means of escape for Kennedy. After a meeting with Krauser to discuss the mission's progress, he made his suspicion of her very clear.

After leaving, she was contacted by Wesker, who informed her that he had tasked Krauser with assassinating Kennedy. She temporarily turned her back on Wesker's orders and began operating independently according to her own objective, saving Kennedy in the process before leaving him again. Kennedy defeated Krauser and she reported him as dead to Wesker. However, a heavily wounded Krauser reappeared and attacked her, and she finally killed him in order to prevent him from reporting back to Wesker.

She saved Kennedy from Saddler, and fought with him in order to take back the sample. She defeated him and acquired the sample, but was knocked unconscious and taken captive. She was released by Kennedy in his confrontation with Saddler, who transformed. They fought together to defeat him, and like his battle with the Tyrant six years ago, Wong gave Kennedy a rocket launcher at the critical moment of the battle. However, she pointed her gun at him afterwards and stole the sample. After boarding a helicopter sent by her organization, she tossed him a key to the jet-ski she prepared. She then activated explosives she had planted and departed.

"I don't do evil", just as her words described, Wong delivered a mere subordinate Plaga sample to Wesker and sent the dominant sample to her own organization, who she was truly loyal to. She was now severed from the rival company, and her actions dealt a temporary blow to Wesker's plans. Even in this mission to capture the Plaga, the true identity of the woman who has been called the "key to the true goal" remains enshrouded in mystery. She detailed her mission and objective in a report. One of her informers was Ricardo Irving, an employee of the natural resource development division of TRICELL. From him, she learned of Wesker having approached the company following the collapse of Umbrella in 2003, and is believed to have continued working against him as a loyal agent for her new organization.
