Grayhardt Manor,Transylvania
Grand Ballroom
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The altar was littered with candles glowing with a blue flame that illuminated the entire section of the ballroom. Past the altar were stained glass windows all about ten feet and in a row. Each depicted peices of a story.
One Samuel Greyhardt remembered from his short childhood. He sat in a regal chair like most of the chairs in the ballroom. He had a glass of dark red wine in his gloved hand, or at least thats what he told visitors when they witnessed him drink it. He looked up from his glass and watched as a man with dark robes emptied an urn into a silver platter at the center of the candle filled table. Samuel wondered when his sons would return. They had told him they went out to fetch more of the fine gin they enjoyed. The man in the dark robes set the urn aside and rubbed both his hands together, grinning. " yes....yes..." he whispered to himself. Samuel overheard his whispering. " So you have finaly finished have you?" he called out to him. The robed man turned around to Samuel with a shifty smile. " yes my lord, it is finished! We can continue with the ceremony as soon as the others arrive!" Samuel grunted as he closed his eyes and took a long sip from his "wine" glass. He stood up and walked over to the man. His cape dragged behind him and his elegant black dress uniform matched perfectly with his red frilled shirt that stuck out of his vest. He had a king like walk that matched his deep voice and his short ghastly white hair and full beard. He grinned for a short second and then his face tightened in a frown. Was he sure he wanted to continue with this? Maybe it was the "wine" questioning it. He decided to ignore the thought. The large double doors opened revealing about a dozen people. All dressed in there best uniform suits and capes. Some with there wives with there pale skin matching there large feathered dresses.
"Ah!Samuel!..." Laughed the man in the front of the crowd of people flowing into the room. They shook hands.
" you look well Derrich.... i see your father left the Howellcrow family in good hands...." said Samuel. Derrich laughed. His black goatee glistened in the candle light. " Where are your sons? i am sure they would want to witness this great moment in your familys history wouldnt they?"
Samuel grunted slightly, he had forgotten about
Salem and Sakkar. "They are out collecting there favored gin. Probably enjoying whats left of the night." Derrich smiled to himself but Samuel detected his insult to his sons. " Please....enjoy yourself."
Samuel gestured his hands towards the rest of the ballroom.
Derrich walked away while Samuel's dark yellow eyes followed him. Samuel looked away and hoped his sons returned soon.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
