The Black Book of Blood
Its me. What I would write about are stories i like to come up with some times.
The Story of Seth
Seth was the last born of the second royal family of Egypt. With Ra failing to produce an heir to the throne, this family was to produce the next in line. Originally this position was granted to Seth. When Ra stepped down, Seth was to take over Egypt from him. But as Seth grew up, he started to show signs that later labeled him unfit to be a leader. Seth showed off very flamboyant bisexual characteristics, to the point where most saw him as entirely gay. It was nothing to be looked down upon in Egypt, but according to the law Amun had placed down, (simply to keep his son from regaining the throne), Seth was kicked from the runnings, and the new heir became his more acceptable, poster child brother Osiris. This angered Seth greatly, and he felt robbed and betrayed by his family, mostly his brother. Tension rose between the two, and they grew up with somewhat of a hatred towards each other. At least Seth hated Osiris.

With Osiris being the new heir, the gods needed something to do in the mean time, seeing Ra showed no signs of slowing down at all. He was in his prime, but was beginning to feel over whelmed with all of his power, so he spit things up. The council took some power, and helped him run everything, but the land of Egypt it's self needed more attention then he could give it. With this, he turned his attention to the next Royal family. Once again there was feud between the brothers, and so to keep the peace, their father, Geb, divided Egypt into two. Giving half the land to Seth, and half to Osiris. Osiris received Lower Egypt (or the north), which included the fertile Nile delta and lush farmland. Here, his people prospered and lived happily. In contrast, Seth received Upper Egypt (the south), where most of the land was vast, arid deserts. This quickly became Seth's domain, and he thrived in the deserts, but his people not so much. They seemed unhappy and doubtful of their lord. Meanwhile, Osiris, not happy with what he had, started turning Seth's followers away from him. He spread rumors and lies about his brother, and other times revealing shameful secrets, which tarnished his image just as much as the lies. But Seth was far from the monster his brother was portraying. He truly did want the best for his people, and was a good leader but that was quickly shadowed by his brother. People started turning away from Seth to follow the kind, father like Osiris, who brought prosperity and life to the Egyptian people. With doing so, Osiris slowly, but surly took land from his brother as well.

This angered Seth all that much more, so he turned to Ra for help. He tried to get the great leader to do something about his brothers lust for power, but Ra was not concerned, and simply waved off Seth's problem. saying it was a simple issue they could work out in time. Defeated, Seth returned to his land and tried his best to keep a level head, but no matter how hard he tried, the hatred and anger never let him be.

Eventually, Seth met a beautiful goddess named Nephthys. She was a challange for him, being one of the few gods who neither feared Seth, nor hated him. The two eventually got married, and everything seemed to be looking up for the mistreated god. Seth made every effort he could to be the best husband, but as tension between him and his brother continued, it was putting his marriage at risk. That, and even after several years, Seth was the one who failed to give his wife the children she so desired. Just like the deserts he ruled over baren, and supported no life. (he was sterile). After some conflict between the couple, Nephthys was becoming desperate, and turned to the first person she found, Osiris. She, getting the god drunk, slept with her husbands brother, and most hated enemy. When she told Seth she was pregnant, he was legitimately happy, unaware the child was not his. Only through rumors and ease dropping, did he find out the truth.

Infuriated by his wives betrayal, he had finally reached the end of his rope with Osiris, this was the last straw for the demonic like god. After divorcing his wife, Nephthys ran away, fearing Seth would kill her child, who just so happened to be Anubis. Granted, on occasion Seth did try to kill his ex and his nephew, but never succeed.

Along withe conflict between him and his wife, things had finally reached a breaking point between him and Osiris. Seth no longer cared about his image, in fact he didn't seem to care about anything, as he set out to have his revenge on Osiris. After Seth's first attempt at killing his brother, by trapping him in a coffin and hoping he would drown in the Nile, he resorted to something much more brutal and animalistic. Seth, who had always been plegued with a temper and an animalistic blood lust, killed and cut his brother into pieces and even drank his own brothers blood before discarding the body in various places. This murder sent a huge shock wave through out Egypt, no one else more greatly effected then Isis, Osiris' wife. As she grieved and sobbed, Seth was taken before the council for his actions. Nearly every soul wanted him executed, or banished for the severity of his crime, all but one person. Ra. The great leader had always seen something in the young god, and knew he had great potential, so he voted against the council. With Ra on the opposing side, the councils verdict was rendered pointless, and in the end, Ra had the last say.

Seth was stripped of all leadership power, and was never to take the throne of Egypt. He was then sentenced to be a body guard for Ra as things in Egypt started to heat up. War was ravaging the nation, and Ra (who originally was their main general) was soon distracted by the tragity wrapped around another mighty god, Thoth. With the chaos unfolding back home, Ra was forced to reside from leader of Egypts armies, and put Seth in control. With Seth at the head of their forces, Egypt soon won their battles, but despite the victories he brought, Seth was still looked down upon as a demonic, heartless and ruthless god. He was so powerful, people feared him, and in hopes of hindering the gods power, tried to erase his very image from history. Destroying documents, defacing temples anything they hoped would erase the awful god from history.

But things were about to get alot worse. After retreiving her husbands body, Isis, with the help of Thoth, managed to bring Osiris back to life, if only just for a day. With in that day, the goddess conceived the new heir to the throne, and Osiris was properly put to rest. Becoming the first god of the Underworld. Years passed before the new Heir, naturally the enemy of Seth, set out to take revenge for his fathers death. THis young gods name was Horus. And thus the conflict between Seth and Horus began. When seth found out about this young god, he hunted the boy down raped Horus, knowing that killing him at the moment would do him no good. War broke out among the gods, as people were split between Seth and Horus. When Ra was brought into the argument, him and the council were to vote on who should rule over Egypt. Nearly every soul was in Horus' favor, but, once again, Ra vouched for Seth. saying Horus was far to young, immature and inexperience to run Egypt. But still, due to the law put down by Amun, seth was unfit for the throne. But Ra proposed a new idea. If he could successfully take the throne from Horus, the right would be his. And so, the fighting between the two gods continued.

But that war came to a sudden and horrifying end. Seth, whos main job was to protect Ra and defent Egypt, had gotten so caught up in his war with Horus, that he let his duties slip between the cracks. Ra had many, many people out to kill him, the main enemy being the snake demon Apep. He was a strong god by nature, but only Seth was strong enough to fight off the demon. One night, Seth failed to be at his post and gave a opening for Apep. Ra managed to hold off the demon for a while but by the time Seth got word of the attack, it was too late. He had been killed, throat slit, and his sacred golden blood drained. This sudden death of their leader, sent Egypt into a down ward spiral, that the simply could not recover from. Along wit that, Seth, who had been the closest to Ra, was hit hard. Not only was he his protector, but his secret lover. The two had been hiding a sexual relationship, that was slowly developing into potential love. But now with his death, Seth just snapped.

The strong and mighty god went crazy and violent. He lashed out, killing any person who dared come near him. Soon, the warriors of the gods (Min, Anubis, Bes, Sobek ect.) were sent out to put an end to this demonic like rampage. One by one they tried, and one by one they were taken down single handedly by Seth. His terror soon was killing off god after god, and there was one person who seemed could still take on the mighty god. Horus, who had grown up quite a bit from his first encounter with his uncle, had been working endlessly to match up to Seth. After a long battle between the two, Horus seemingly dealt the last blow as he shot an arrow straight through Seth's neck. Seemingly the god was dead and safe to approach, but Horus wasn't as good of a shot as he thought, and missed the spinal cord that would have equal instant death. Seth, who was bleeding out heavily, manged, with the last ounce of his strength to plunge a knife into his nephew heart in the end, killing them both, and ending Seth's terrifying, bloody rampage. But not all was well, from what Seth had done, Egypt was in ruins, and left the door open for Rome's invasion, bringing the Egyptian Civilization to an end.
