Chapter 1

"Hey Aeir, when are we getting back to Drakonis?"

No one knew that this very question would start it all. It was a normal day, blue sky, partly cloudy, sun in the sky, and not a worry in the world. Aeir and his team were returning from a mission they had just completed, they had no idea what was about to happen.
"C'mon Aeir, we need a break from the walking.", Dante whined. Dante was one of the two sons of Drakonis' famous demon-slayer, Lucifer Grave.
"He has a point, we need a break.", Hunter agreed. Hunter was Lucifer's other son.
Aeir finally stopped and turned around to face them, "Fine, you guys can take a break, but it's not my fault you wasted your energy in that battle you two. White was right you need to train on containing your energy when fighting."
White was Dante and Hunter's boss, and Aeir's ex-girlfriend's mother. The Grave brothers didn't bother to argue, Aeir was right, but he couldn't run out of energy, he was a God-Slayer, he never ran out.
"Hey, how much further til Drakonis?", Sorrow asked. Sorrow was Aeir's family, not by blood, but by the fact that Sorrow gave him his second chance at life five years ago, when Sorrow jumped in front of an attack meant to kill Aeir, sacrificing himself to protect his ally.
"Aeir, we're almost back.", Lumi informed Aeir. Lumi was Aeir's new partner, and she thanked Aeir for saving her life about a month ago.
"Can we get going again?", Mimi asked, breaking up Aeir's conversation with Lumi. Mimi is Aeir's first partner and his ex-girlfriend, she didn't like being on his team, but she was ordered by Shadow and her mother to stay.

They traveled until nightfall.
"We should stop for the night." Lumi insisted. Aeir nodded, "Time to stop for the night."
"Guess an inn isn't nearby."
"Shut up and get some sleep, Hunter."

-DAYBREAK-
Aeir wakes up as the sun comes into view, everyone was still asleep.
His stomach growled, "Getting hungry." He got up to look for food.
After an hour, he came back to the camp being empty.
"Where did everyone go?" In the distance, he heard fighting, so he followed it.
He saw Lumi fighting Mimi, Mimi saying something.
"Why are you doing this!" Lumi screamed.
"Because, I can, and I don't like how you and Aeir got all chummy with each other within the month you've known him."
Mimi was trying to prove she was the leader, "Good thing she can't sense me."
Aeir donned an outfit Sorrow had helped him with a while back, to where Mimi wouldn't notice him. With that, he walked into view.
"Who are you? It doesn't matter, I'll kill you too!" With that, Mimi lunged.
