Thoughts of the late-shift worker:
Humans are social creatures, but here of late today's generation is so dependent on technology for their social needs that they lack the necessary skills to do so in real life. With this fact in mind, should we bring back the discipline punishment of shunning? Take away the social media, and technology altogether and its no wonder why its still a popular form of punishment in most closed communities today. A person is virtually driven mad by the sound of their own voice, with no other person there to carry on a conversation with them. Its in the best interest of people today, to put down their computers and their cellphones, and for once, go out of their way to meet up with that friend and have a face-to-face conversation with them. With the world going downhill at the rate its going, when technology fails us, where will we be than?
