Humanity is so naive,
Wouldn't you agree?
We honestly believe,
That we can be free,
That we can be happy.
These things do not exist,
All things sappy,
Because we cannot coexist.
Oh, well. Who cares?
It doesn't matter anyway.
Just pay the fare,
And go your way.
Keep trudging along,
And you'll be fine.
But that is wrong.
Wouldn't it be nice to whine?
And say what you really feel.
But no one cares.
No one ever cares.
No one will ever care.
Life is basically musical chairs,
But with perks.
Those with connections,
Always get the works,
And the rest of us are dissections.
So, we're stupid.
All of us.
Truly putrid,
And filled with pus.
So I am naive,
And wonder if I should still believe.
