The doorway looms ahead
A shadowed entrance to the future I must face
The silent tears fall down my face
A stranger asks if I'm ok
I look at them and turn away
They disappear through the dreadful arch
The arch that separates me from Them
When I walk past, it's shadow taunts me
I can hear the voices from beyond the door
Nobody knows what I feel inside
I can't see beyond the tears that cloud my vision
They hit the floor and leave marks on my skin
I feel so alone in a world where I'm always surrounded
All I want to do is sit down and cry, but I can't
I have a commitment that I must honor
So I take a deep breath, close my eyes
And embrace the destiny
That lies beyond the Shadow Door
