Long live the cosplay!!!
Yes, I have done cosplay before (Anime Detour 2004[1st annual]).
I dressed as Sango (from InuYasha) in her kimono. I admit my costume wasn't the best, but that isn't the point of cosplay. I believe cosplaying is a way for people to express themselves through dressing like and maybe even acting like a character they admire. At the next Anime Detour, (March 2005, in Minnesota) I plan to dress up like Hana (electric wave girl) from Fruits Basket (Furuba). So if you want to say hi, hopefully I'll see you there. I'll be in a black lace dress similar to one of Hana's, seen in the offical Fruits Basket Art Book. I highly recommend the Fruits Basket series and for people to go to at least one anime convention and see what it is all about.
