Story :3 Please read :3
It all started when my mom died when I was 11 years old. Mom had died in a car crash, which wasn’t her fault by the way, just at the wrong place at the wrong time. She was driving back from the groceries when a drunk driver decided to mow down out little car with mom in it. Dad was distraught. He blamed himself for her death. This is not the case. When I was 12 they finally prosecuted the man. Dad seemed relieved, that was, until he killed himself. He was perfectly fine that night, almost happy. Then he grabbed his keys and coat, telling me to not wait up because he was going to see mom, as in go to her grave. He did that often, just leave in the night to see her grave. The thing different was that he never came back, he was always back by the time I got up in the morning. At noon the police came knocking on the door. I offered them some coffee and told them that father would be back soon. Though of course I didn’t know for sure when he would be back. The police lady told me to sit down. I was told by father that the police were the good people and had to do what they say, so I sat down in the couch. The police lady held my hands while the police man told me the news. Father had taken a healthy dose of arsenic and died by moms grave. I couldn’t think at that moment. Both of my parents left me. I was alone. A lady in a black dress suit walked in and took my hand and led me out of the house. She said some things but I never really heard them. The sound of my rushing blood drowned out everything else. My body would go hot then cold then hot again. The lady led me into a building where people walked around and couples sat in hard plastic chairs. Some couples stared while other were too busy hugging little children. The lady sat me down in my own hard little chair. Then she too left me. I sat there for a while, trying not to think. Another older lady walked into the room. She held a clip board and examined me.
“She’s in good shape but she’s too old now. Nobody will want to adopt her. Best bet would be to put her in foster care.” After that I heard no more. She talked to a some people in hushed voices for a while, and then I was again on the move. They sent me to a room filled with kids. They were eating chips, lounging around on couch’s, “Up” blaring from the T.V. Other kids were playing games. All around it was a pretty relaxing situation, but I felt no more relaxed then when the police came to my door.
“ Hello children. This little girl will be with you for a little bit. Please make her feel welcomed. Would you like to introduce yourself?” She bent down to my level and waited for my answer. I said nothing, not wishing to socialize with these people. The lady laughed and waved off my ignorance.
“She’s recently gone through a lot of loss. Her name is Sarah be nice!” Then she was gone. I stood there for a while, not knowing what to do with myself. That’s when my emotions caught up with me. My legs gave way under me and I crumpled to the ground. Some kids got up in surprise where as other-the older ones- didn’t seem to care. I shook like Haiti when the earthquake hit them my eyes silently crying. Someone wrapped their arms around me as I wept. I stayed like that for a while till I believe I fell asleep. When I awoke I was in an unfamiliar room, in an unfamiliar bed. Past event crawled into my mind. My heart ached from the loss of the two most precious people in my life. Curling up on my side I cried some more. It must have been around noon the next morning when someone knocked on the door of my room, I tried to call out but my voice wouldn’t work. It needn’t matter thought because the person let themselves in. He was tall, dark haired and moody. His eyes were set in a bit and he looked like he hasn’t a decent night’s sleep in a while.
“I’ve sent you some food.” He placed down a bowl of Mac N Cheese with a can of Coke. There was a bowl of chicken beside the bowl; obviously people have been trying to feed me. The boy sat on a chair beside me and leaned back.
“You’ve been out for a day. After your episode I carried you back here. This is where you will stay until a foster family want to take you in. You’re young so it should be okay. Us older people don’t get chosen too often….though we don’t stay there long either. Most of the kids here don’t like their “family” so they try to be super bad so they can come back here.” That’s when a girl practically bounced through the door. She had short curly hair that also bounced around. She gave me a huge grin when she saw me sitting up in bed. She placed a little stuffed bear on my lap and beamed.
“Hello!! I’m Annabelle. You must be Amanda! It’s so nice to see your awake. I’m positive you’ll love it here. Everyone is so nice!” Annabelle bounced some more then fiddled with the stuffed animal.
“This is Suzy, she’s very dear to me, but right now she needs you more so…I will let you borrow her for a while. She’s really helpful; just give her a squeeze and all your worries will go away. Just like that.” She snapped her fingers then gently gave me back the stuffed doll. She had been holding it to her chest and I could tell she was unhappy about parting with it. I was overwhelmed by her happiness. Grasping the bear I finally spoke in what seemed like a long time. My voice was wispy and cracked from lack of liquid. The boy beside me handed me a glass of water. After I felt good enough I spoke.
“Oh, Annabelle, thank you so much, I’ll make sure to keep the best of care for her!” Then she beamed her eye to eye smile and bounced out. The boy beside me watched with his eyes but he never left. I was starting to feel uncomfterble, I was never good around males. We didn’t speak for a long while. During that time I soaked him in. He had dark slightly long hair with what looked like bits of blond streaks here and there. His face was set with round grey eyes with a strait nose and slightly frowning lips. He wore a black t-shirt with a skull on the front with the words “Death the Kid” on it. His jeans were torn and weathered but had to be comfortable. My heart soared with a strange feeling. The entire time he wasn’t looking at me. Instead he looked out the window. Finally he looked down at me and smirked.
“You’ve been staring at me this whole time. Have you not seen a guy before?” My face flushed and I quickly looked away. I took notice to the room I was in. Bage walls with disgusting green curtains framing the window. There was a spiral mat in the middle of the floor and a couple chairs here and there. Looking at the posters on the wall I realized something.
“ Ah! This is your room isn’t it? No wonder you look so tired. I’m sorry for bothering you, I’ll get out immediately!” I pulled the covers off and was about to step out when he stopped me. His hands were cold on my bare shoulder……bare? I quickly looked down and saw that I was in a night gown adorned with hearts. Things started to click in place. Didn’t he say that he carried me here to his bed….? I was most defiantly not wearing a night gown when I came here. I was wearing my t-shirt with the moon on the front…..and pants with the holls…..then there’s only one explanation for this…!!!! Oh my gosh.
“It-it’s okay, I’m okay. See!! Hahaha! Smiling face equals happiness now get your hand off of my shoulder you pervert!” I grabbed the teddy and booked it across the room to where the door was. What if the doors lock? Then what would I do? I remember dad teaching me some moves way back then, would they woke on this guy? Thankfully though it was unlocked. Wrenching it open I flung myself out the door. I was in a long corridor with about 9 doors on each wall. I heard noise coming from the left so that’s where I went.
“Wait! It’s a misunderstanding!” I looked back and he was standing there with his hand in his hair. He truly looked like he was unhappy. He wasn’t even giving chase! I was concentrating on looking backwards so much that I accidentally bumped into someone. Obviously this person was bigger then I was because I bounced back while he stayed up right and confused. He looked down with little surprise.
“So this is the new kid? She’s a bit old.” Be dent down and grabbed my arms. His hands were rough and really warm. In fact he was sweating. On a second look he wasn’t really wearing clothes either. Just a pair of baggy shorts. He managed to lift me up with little effort and placed me gently on my feet. He reminded me of a bear because he was so huge.
“Um….thank you…” I dusted myself off. I’m not too good at talking to strangers so I looked at the floor and blushed and his nakedness. The boy from the room came up from behind me, scaring the hell out of me.
“What are you doing? Your not fit to be running around. Oh hey Brandy, what are you doing here? Not scaring the little kids are we?” On the contrary buddy, it was you who scared me. I thought about telling him that but I decided to keep my mouth clamped closed. My stomach then decided that it wanted in on this too and made its sounds of disapproval by me neglecting it for so long. I clamped my arm around my stomach and bend down. Man was I hungry! Brandy laughed and the other boy (still don’t know his name) looked concerned.
“Alright, time for you to eat!” He grabbed my arm and before I could protest or get away he was directing me toward where I was running. We walked no more then 10 seconds when we walked in to a big room filled with children. On the tables in front of them was food, warm food! I just about died from hunger when the smell hit. Looks like the people here don’t care how they eat considering it was junky fatty food. I was raised to eat healthy food, only having junk food on special occasions. Someone with their mouth full waved us over. We sat down and another kid shouted out to us in glee.
“Brandy!! Julian!! How be’s it?! Looks like the new kid is awake. Want some food?!” He was defiantly lively. Suddenly there was a plate full of fries with a hamburger and 2 slices of pizza. I really preferred not to eat this junk but I was so hungry I didn’t care. After half my fries, one hamburger and one slice of pizza was inhaled I decided I was content. Even though it was fatty it was still quite yummy.

I know it's a bit long but could u also tell me what you think of this?
