While Etsy can be a goldmine of fantastic indie companies it can also be a goldmine of companies that have no place being in business. I still love shopping on Etsy and supporting these small businesses that create their products with love and a desire to provide a real quality product. However, it's pretty damn frustrating because more and more often I see terrible makeup companies, it's getting hard to find a company that isn't outright lying about ingredients and neglecting consumer safety.

Glittersniffer may be the crowing glory here but there are tons more companies out there (and not just on Etsy) doing the same crap. I know I sound like a broken record, but know your ingredients and don't rely on the marketing crap spewed by the companies. It's gotten to the point where I won't order from a company unless I have seen multiple -honest- reviews that go past "omg this color is so pretty!1!!11". In the past I would have been willing to try new companies but I just don't feel my health is worth it.
Oh, and by the way, that Caustic Cosmetics company is DISGUSTING and giving GS a run for her money in the "I want to maim my customers" and in the "I'm lying about FDA regulations because I want to give you the best products possible I want your moniez" depts. Seriously gross and seriously callous.
