(("Scene" Setup: <Val> Ooh, this looks like a nice, safe place! <Nova> ... Yep. Well, yer on your own now. *poof* <Val> Buh...? o_o; ...okay? ^^;
And thus was Valerie left alone in the ever-so-conveniently abandoned shack. biggrin ))
A distressed squeak hopped out of Valerie, followed by a dash over to the lifeless, motionless figure in the darkest corner of the room. "A-are you alright?" She quietly pleaded for a response, lightly shaking the figure's shoulder.
What she got was a sharp, piercing crack and a small electric shock for her trouble, enticing a worried gasp out of her as she pulled her hand back. With her light nudge, however, part of the figure's face revealed itself as its head lolled to one side.
With a fair skin tone and youthful, undefined facial features came a rather severe laceration across the right cheek, both revealing more clearly the body's mechanical nature and that it had been still for quite some time, long enough for the wound to be partially healed. Locks of muted, chestnut-hued hair fell clumsily over its forehead, stuck together in places by bits of dried, dark red fluid. One of its 'ears', as it was, seemed to be lacking the cover the other bore, appearing as another unintelligible mass of mechanical components.
The body wasn't in much better shape. His -- its gender was obvious as soon as Valerie noted a distinct lack of mass in its upper half -- outfit was torn in some places, cracked in others; a once seamless ensemble of cool grey and slate muddled by patches of scarlet.
Needless to say, he was far from 'all right'.
