I love how my favorite idol groups are usually the ones labeled as failures by the Korean populace.
U-KISS, D-NA, and F.Cuz...none of them are very popular.
And they're some of the more talented groups, I think. The vast majority of their performances are unassisted, which is more that can be said for a lot of other groups.
Going off on a random note, even SHINee did most of their performances without the backtrack right after they debuted, even though they sounded terrible.
It's so nice to see how much they've grown since then, but I also respect them a little more for not falling back on something that a lot of more popular groups regularly use.
Yeah, a good part of a nice performance is the visual element, but if you don't have strong voices to back it up, idk.
