My Last Letter
Dear Leo,
I think you already know what this letter is about. My house burned down not too long ago, and I know it was all over the news. I hope you know that the arsonist was your brother. Obviously not Drake, your youngest one, but it was your oldest one, Ricky. The police are looking for him and I need to know if you know where he is at all. Please, Leo, you can tell me. My family is homeless now, and we need a place to stay. I don’t want to put you in danger, because I know he’s your brother, but would you mind if my family lived with you for a while?

I heard about your house burning down. My brother told me all about it. I actually knew it was going to happen. I tried to stop him from doing it. I don’t get why he’s trying to kill you. Did you know he was trying to kill you? He did this to my last girlfriend too. I think he needs to go to the psycho place, and get some help. He’d probably try to kill them too if they told him he was wrong though. I don’t think it’s a good idea to live with me, because Ricky always checks on me. See, there he is pounding on the door again. Gotta go. Love ya.

Dear Leo,
Why are you protecting him? What if he does end up killing my family and me? What would you do? Would you still protect him? This is unlike you to help him. I love you, Leo, but it’s wrong to just allow someone to torture a person’s family. Especially the one you love. However, thanks for caring about me. If he ends up finding me, I’ll keep in mind that it wasn’t because of you that he did.

I know it isn’t right to keep helping him, believe me, it wasn’t my choice. He forced me to help him, or he would torture me. But I’m also helping you! If I didn’t help you, I would kill myself. You are the most important thing in my life, Tanaka.

Dear Leo,
I don’t think I have much time left. You’ve got to help me! I ran out of the Hotel last night, because I had a feeling that your brother would come after me. I don’t feel safe, anymore. Can you at least come and pick me up? I’ll hide in your closet, anything will help. Please, help me Leo!

That letter that Tanaka sent me, it really made me realize that I was choosing between black and white, wrong and right, life and death. I sat there on my bed staring at the letter for an hour. Then I grabbed my car keys and ran to the front door. As I opened the door, my brother was standing there.
“I got her.” He told me with a smile. He began to laugh out loud. I ran back into my room. I grabbed a pen and a piece of paper, to write:
Dearest Tanaka,
I’m so sorry I didn’t make it in time. I blame myself for everything that has happened. I’m sorry for telling my brother I hated you. I’m sorry I told him I wanted you to die. I’m sorry you had to go through the pain I did. But thank you for giving me a reason to leave. I’ll see you in Hell.
