The Case Files of Joe Delahoy, Private Investigator
A man, his gun, and a pack of cigarettes. A Gaian with a film noir obsession, this Private Eye starts solving crimes the Regulators won't even touch.
Case Two, Part Five: No Leads, No Worries
It had been a month since the Zachary Johnson Case started, and Joe Delahoy, Private Investigator, had absolutely no idea who the killer was. There were no feasible leads once Catrina brought up her solid alibi, along with emails that proved her date stood her up. And, though it did make Delahoy grin ever so slightly, it turned out that the great Stefan Algonquin Longfellow the Third was wrong about his arrest; it turned out that Timothy Farrow and his daughter were both innocent on all charges. Longfellow was furious, because once again he looked like a fool in the face of Delahoy.

But, he could laugh easily at the amount of failure Joe was having. He had been working this case with absolutely no progress. Talking to the victim's mother, visiting the school, even contacting old girlfriends; nothing was getting the detective anywhere near close of solving this crime.

The sad part? Delahoy didn't care.

Yes, it's hard to believe, but ever since that date/interrogation with Catrina Deltorres, the man's been infatuated with her. Delahoy would come visit her at the Durem Police Department from time to time, and he would even join her on some of her cases. She even (by some unholy trickery) convinced our no-nonsense detective to take dance lessons with her. Garrison was so confused when he found out about the whole thing, and Sarah....Sarah is just plain pissed off.

That particular Thursday, Sarah was sitting at her desk in the office, looking particularly grumpy. "That damn Deltorres lady!" she huffed underneath her breath, typing on her laptop alot louder than usual. What does she got that I don't got? I mean, I'm hot...right?" She stopped typing, and sighed. "Man, this sucks!"

"What sucks, Ms. Fontaine?" Sarah looked up, and saw Catrina walking out of Delahoy's bedroom, buttoning up her uniform. "Is something wrong, dear?" Sarah simply stared, mortified. "W-w-what were you d-doing in Mr. Delahoy's room?" she stammered, pointing at the door. Catrina looked behind her shoulder, slightly confused. "Well, what do you think two people do in a dark room alone?" Sarah kept a straight face, though she thought about ripping the vampire's face clean off with passionate fury. But instead, she grinned. "Oh, I g-get it," she said oddly. "Um, I have to get back to work and stuff." Catrina cocked an eyebrow, and walked away.

Sarah waited for the woman to leave before letting out an angry yell. "That slutty TRAMP!" She started pulling up files on Delahoy's girlfriend, searching through them furiously. "I'll find something," she said crazily. "I'll find something that'll make Joe hate you, and dump you! Maybe she was born a dude or something!" Jealous rage helped the rather slow-working Sarah search every report with great speed, all for the goal of breaking up the two detectives. If only she knew how crucial this search might turn out to be...
