A dream of the world in bloom.

In the soil of the future.
One girl plants a flower;
A dream to help her father.
With this seedling,
Another dream is planted.
One widow plants a flower;
In memory of her dead love.
The plant stands bright, casting memories.
A dream of what once was.
A mother and child plants a flower;
They dream of a beautiful garden.
Their innocence and love
Are planted with their dreams.
One teacher plants a flower;
A gift from her former student.
Her aged smile shines brighter than the daisy,
Her dreams of teaching accomplished.
One environmentalist plants a flower;
His dream to help the earth.
The sunflower stands tall,
By a dream echoed by millions.
A couple plants a flower;
Their dream to stay together forever.
The rose burns a scarlet red,
A dream of undying love.
An elderly couple plants a flower;
A dream of dying together.
They hold hands tightly,
A dream of leaving the world in each others arms.
Decades later, the boy visits his tree, a child no longer.
The tree, now reaching into the sky, is surrounded by flowers as far as the eye can see.
Dream leads into dream, as they all tie into one goal.
The effort of one helped by another, a vision accomplished.
Two men look at Earth from space.
What once was a muddy brown
Now seems to be an array of colors, tiny blooms morphing into the world.
