When the Gender Bender achievement was made available, along with the two free gender changing potions, I started to think of different female avatars I could make and a medusa was one of the first thing that came to mind.

Enyo of the Medusae
The nomadic tribes which inhabit the great desert West of Durem have a strong oral tradition, passing on their history through songs and spoken stories. A shared tale among several of the tribes is that of Enyo, the Medusa.
Said to live in the Northern desert in ruins at the foothills of the Great Gaian Mountain Range, Enyo's existence apparently goes back for centuries, with several tribes claiming that she's the grand child of Lunaris herself. The details often differ from tribe to tribe, but all share some common traits. All claim that she was once a beautiful queen until she offended the sun god, Apollus in some way.
In some of the tales she rebuked his advances, in others she ordered the destruction of a temple, but regardless of the offense the result was the same. Apollus cursed her, transforming her beauty into that of horror and turning her into a Medusa. In some versions of the story she was driven mad and slaughtered any who near her at the time. In others she hid, going into seclusion, leaving the kingdom with no ruler. Still in others she attempted to rule from isolation, but this isolation led to suspicions and a lack of confidence among the populace who then attempted to uncover the truth of their mysteriously absent queen.
Again, in all the tales her kingdom eventually fell to ruin and the populace fled it or were absorbed into large kingdoms. With her city and palace empty and abandoned, Enyo returned and is said to dwell among the ruins to this day.
