True Blood: I loved all the stuff at Fangtasia. This is the first time I've liked Sookie in ages. I was right about Jesus. I love him and LaFayette together. I know this is totally superficial, but I love Tara's new hair. I love her cutting it in a moment of grief and with a desire for change. I cut my hair off in grief for Abe, after all. I think the Greek knew something when they had Achilles cut his for Patroklos. There is a visceral rightness to the act, somewhere between sacrifice and a sharp ending of one era and the start of a new one, an end and beginning all in one, something concrete and visual to mark so many intangible things. I'm glad Sam apologized to Terry, because being mean to terry is beyond not cool. The thing with Sookie, Russell, and the Talbot bowl was ******** brilliant and the thing with her, Eric, and Bill towards the end just rocked socks. I hope she stays firm., as they are so off book by now I can't trust book outcomes to carry over. Boy, Summer is Hoyt's Mom's minime, isn't she? I wish Jason would grow up. I really don't likle the fairy stuff so far.
