A Very Delusional World & Innocent Melody
"It is wise to keep the wavering spirit at ease. For when stirred there is no telling what may occur."
Poem I did in class
Soaring Heights
I was born on the year of the rat,
A time of multiple deaths.
Trapped by the claws of a man by the name of Castro,
My parents managed to slip away
Into liberty, free of all confinements known as communism
They lift their heads with all their pride,
And fight off the troubles of life with their might,
Believing in pure dedication of their duties.
I am the vivid crown of victory and honor,
A crown of laurel leaves rested upon my head.
I was taught of the myths the Greek once told each other,
Tales of misfortune, love, and despair.
I believe in discovering the truth,
And to uphold this very truth even with those who disagree.
When my time has come to lift my wings without aid,
I hope to tell others my own tales,
Of adventure of other worlds.
I am sincere; respecting all those around me.
Like a picture, I can be seen in different angles…
They say I am a bird,
Soaring higher and flying further.
I yearn to fly to those vast worlds,
And to experience their enriched stories that are yet to be told.
