Night of August 12th.

My Mom, Charles, and me went to Tehachapi to watch the meteor shower.
We got like 4 blankets and two pillows. I printed directions out prior to leaving. It took like an hour and we went up to this isolated area away from city lights on the road of Sand Canyon.
We were eating Taco Bell on the way up there.
I was looking out the window then I heard my mom say "Oh Look! Wow!!" She scared the crap outta me by yelling it. lol. She seen a meteor and Charles did too. They said it was so awesome, it was real bright and left a long trail.
We found a place by some mailboxes and a few houses nearby on hills and laid down some blankets by the car. There were sooo many stars out. It was beautiful. Charles and me layed down on the blankets and my mom laid against the car. She wouldn't lay on the ground.
Charles and me laughed and talked, It was cold! My face was freezing.
We seen a lot of meteors. Some big and some small. Fast and slow. There were some bright ones and those were awesome. He said no meteor was better than the one him and my mom seen. About 2 hours passed and Charles fell asleep for a while. lol. I had to wake him up. I don't blame him, it was 2 in the morning.
We watched for about 20 more minutes and then started heading home. I even seen some while in the car. My mom didn't see too many though... Charles and me seen at least 50 of them.
After 4 years, I finally seen the meteor shower a second time. Every year something always happened, but this year, we finally seen it. And I was with my love and that made it so much better. Charles was so happy, he loved it!

December has the best Meteor shower of the year. I'm hoping we may see that one too! In December they actually have colored meteors, yellow blue green and red!
