It takes a lot to disqust me, but this managed to do so. California granted same gender couples the right to marry. Why should they have to /grant/ that right to them? Are they in some way below the right to marry that everyone in this country seems to have? Since when does our government have the ability to tell us who we can marry? they don't have that right. our country has fought and bled to give us the rights that we have today. The freedom that we all here in the U.S expect. and yet we can just sit back and watch rights be denied to fellow American's because they happen to love some one of their own gender? We have the right to tell them that they can't marry? that they can't adopt children? that they can't have children? I will admit that I AM part of that community. I am Bisexual, but it shouldn't matter and I shouldn't have to explain that point. I shouldn't have to fear critism for posting this. one of my best friends belongs partially to this community though, and I have to agree with them. The government has /NO/ right to tell us who we can't marry. and for all of you who have a problem with same gender relationships, and marriages, get over it. If you want to drag religion into it, I have an answer for that as well. Would your higher power have created people this way if it was wrong? No, that is the wrong way to state it. Same gender marriages, are different yes, but they aren't wrong. I think that you are wrong. Though you have just as much right to feel and believe whatever you like, how would it feel to be the one told that you couldn't marry? what if we all woke up and the government said that men and women could no longer marry that it was illegal? Wouldn't you fight for your rights? Would you think that it was fair of the government to take away that right? Is it there place? No. No it's not. It's our decision. So you don' agree with it. That is your own problem. Turn a blind eye and live in your perfect world. You don't have to see the ugly, and you don't have to condem people because they aren't the exact same as you, because I have a news flash. No one is exactly the same. and they never will be. Let them be who they are, the same way you are allowed to be who you are.

Well, that makes me feel a bit better, but really. People today in this society just make me sick. There is no reason to act the way they do, and yet they seem to think it's okay. Woman marched and protested to gain the right to vote and yet now we are condemming people for doing the same thing so that they can gain the right to have same sex marriages. Just makes me ill to think of the country I live in and how closed peoples minds are now days.
