Dislikes-So much blood...the monsters, horror parts.
SPOILER ALERT!
Day Breakers was a great movie I just finished watching, so far I've been able to go through two horror movies without closing my eyes or screaming...loud...about the human race being endangered and vampires are in need of blood or a blood substitute, vampire armies are going out and capturing humans which they then put into machines that drain the blood from their bodies, few humans are still alive and hiding. Some of the vampires aren't getting enough blood are getting deformed and turning into monsters, which the army then takes care of.
DB also is in the main view of a scientist named Edward that is helping work on the substitute, Edward goes driving home one night and crashes into a car with four humans (or five) the girl in the car is looking for a trust worthy vampire and ends up having to hide in Edward's car for safety as the vampire cops were coming.
Later, at home Edward gets a visit from his brother Frankie (Really, I just watched the movie and I already forgot his brothers name) gives him a bottle of 100% pure human blood, Ed refuses to drink it and as Frankie is complaining Ed dumps the bottle done the drain, Frank takes the bottle gets upset that there's almost none left, he throws it against the wall. Here comes the monster: A monster named Carl comes through the back door in the kitchen, he sees the blood and starts licking it off the walls and the counter and as Ed goes to take a knife at him, the monster starts attacking them. When they kill the monster the police come by and see that marks on his arms show he was feeding off of himself, a ring shows that his name was Carl and Ed reports that Carl was his local gardener and he looked fine a few weeks ago.
Later Ed hears the alarms in his house go off and finds the girl standing at his back door (here I screamed because my awful brother went "BLAH!" wink The girl gives him a note that tells him where to meet her at, the note says the place and at Noon (here my brother was all smart and said "but he can't go out in day light). He thinks over it through the day and shows up and finds a guy named Elvis, he says he used to be a vampire but was cured by the sun, he tells the story and the army shows up, the three run away in Ed's car.
They get away and go to a place where one vampire is at, while Ed is studying Elvis's blood they find out the way it had happened, they find something they can re-do the experiment but meanwhile before they can they get a call that some humans were killed off and they needed to leave, the three stay behind and let the others go, Ed is determined to become human, and as three times a charm they have to catch him on fire with the sun and then put it out, when it fianlly works they have to hide when the cops come in and search the place, when they leave the three go find the rest of the humans only to discover they are all ripped to shreds and eaten.
Ed want to go find his friend he worked with and have him help with the cure and fix the blood problems, he betrays them and the girl and Ed are taken to his boss, Ed convinces him that they should both be turned and they would help with the blood problem, the boss falls for it and bites Ed first, Ed had discovered that drinking vampire blood is the real cure and his boss ended up being tied to a chair and human, he was sent down the elevator where an army waited, they found him and fed off of him, and so on, all the vamps were dumb enough to fall for it and kept feeding off of the new humans.
As the two got away they headed out where a few vamps waited for them, a car crashed through and Frankie got out, now human from feeding off of Elvis, he sacrificed himself so the two could get away and the human race would be repopulated.






******I know I missed a lot of stuff and about the car crash he was distracted from his ear being mutated, please, this is a real spoiler alert journal entry.*******
