What part of "call back tomorrow" is so hard to understand?
Seriously? Do I have to put on my Little Orphan Annie dress, shoes, and wig and start singing "Tomorrow" for some people?

As I have said before, but will reiterate for those of you who don't know, I work in a call center for a cellphone company. We need our computers and certian billing programs to edit customer accounts and to see wth is going on with them should a customer call in.

From the minute I clocked in to the minute they sent people home early due to massive slowness (I want to come back to this in a minute) on the phones, the billing system I mentioned above was not working...at all. So this means we can't see why a customer's bill is $189.02 this month when it was only $189.01 last month (I will bet my life that the $0.01 diffrence is taxes...because it always is). We do have a backdoor into accounts to take payments and make changes but that's it. I do not know how many times I told people to call back tomorrow, but one guy nearly escalated to my supervisor (Jeff; yes, the same Jeff who took these two calls for Scott). Only after I said "Well sir, I will gladly get my suervisor, but he and everyone else above him--all the way to the company president--will not have any access to your account until the billing system comes back online." (this is the guy who wanted to know why his bill is a penny more this month than last month.

That backdoor I mentioned? It is an electronic form (EF) that is filed for whatever change is made to an account (when I left, there were over 2700 EFs). I will not have to take calls tomorrow since I was asked by the supervisor of the Forms team to help file all the EF's.

And the "massive slowness" I find really odd. On any normal given day, I take around 100 calls back to back. Today I've got a five minute break between calls and I still neared 100 calls. If they hadn't sent me, and the rest of my 7:30 shifters, home early due to the slow calls, I would have broken 100.

One more thing...the lights at work turned off at least five times and the computers once (they run on diffrent circut breakers and diffrent generators). I am sure everyone is praying the PHONES turn off tomorrow. mrgreen

Now to eat my Sonic Chicken Strip dinner and watch Titus.........oh gross, that strip wasn't cooked all the way gonk
